Hello, i need help.
Maybe you all can help me.

Have any of you had a problem with a steam game like this before?

I would like to play saints row 4, apparently 1 saints row 4 folder cannot be deleted from my computer, despite being logged in as an administrator, I do not have permissions to delete it and its a steam based folder it is this

Has anyone had this problem before? Can anyone help me, am i'm going to have to try and uninstall steam itself?

Uninstalling is actually called... uninstalling now, not "delete game files".

Maybe something is using a file in that folder?

Rhaknar is right.

Why, Valve?! Why now?!

Can you change the folder's permissions (right click -> security tab) to give yourself access? Edit: Welp, I'm out of ideas.

Dunno what would cause the issue to begin with, though.

I fixed it, I had to go into the advanced settings and strait up give myself permission there
for whatever reason, there were two instances of administration.

Strange, thanks for helping me fix the issue

Well GOTY has already been decided.

I'm convinced.

This might be the laziest most pathetic asset flip ever. I'm sure the guy in the header was ripped off from somewhere as well, Far Cry:primal maybe?

Uhm, they create their own award and give it to their own game?

The side stuff is worse than in 13. The worst offender is to win 7777 coins in a casino at one armed bandit. If i hadn't got insane luck i never would have done it.

I would argue otherwise, because imo the sidestuff in FF13 actually has some story to it and is (mostly) not just about bounties.

The side-stuff in XIII-2 is better simply because there's actually some variety in the things you can do, there is some story to it and it's not just fighting bounties.
I actually didn't do much in the casino so I can't say anything about that, but I would agree that they went a bit overboard in some cases (like all the
damn clock puzzles in Oerba
)
But yeah, casino side-stuff tends to be the fucking worst in JRPGs when it comes to unlockables/achievements. There's nothing more aggravating when something is entirely tied to RNG. Trails in the Sky SC had an achievement where part of it required you to get a specific hand in the poker-minigame and that was bullshit, as much as I liked the minigame itself.
Though that's only an issue if you want to 100% it, but it still sucks.

yeah it has some story, but the story is mostly about some side characters you were just introduced and/or never cared about or some monsters that spawned in some time-space-dimensional rift.

In FF13 all the story comes with the campaign and if you want an extra fighting challenge, you can do the side stuff.

In Lightning Returns the sidequests became so bad, that I skipped all the texts and read the short version in my journal.

Ff13-2 also discsrds all story elements of ff13

Which still annoys me to no end.
FF13 actually had interesting ideas and lore and then... they just throw it all out of the window for the sequels.
I enjoyed all the 13 games and they each had their good parts, but none of them are what I would call a satisfying package as a whole. For every weakness each sequel improves they also change something that was already good to something worse.
It's kind of amazing in its own way.

How was that huge mod for the original Deus Ex that came out last year and had steam achievements too?
Revision? It's fine if you've played a lot of Deus Ex and want to play some more but have it changed up, but I don't really have any specifics to pull from in my memory other than recalling that I did not like the drastic level layout changes.

Yeah, I just remembered people saying it changed the level design and I was wondering how that aspect turned out and if it was worth checking out.

Detention with headphones is unnerving, horror games are really hard for me to finish with good headphones but at the same time it doesn't seem right to play them any other way. My poor heart

I just learned of a great place summarising Crusader Kings 2's expansions and what they do. Handy, because keeping track of it all is daunting at this stage.

Also, and even better, I learned of the upcoming CK2 expansion, Monks and Mystics (TBD) which will be awesome:
Features:
  • Monastic Orders: With lay offices available to non-clerical characters, monastic orders will increase your character’s piety - but they have expectations.
  • Cults: Gnostic heresies may flourish and its is rumored that the worship of Satan continues in the darkened fringes of the world
  • Climb the Ranks: Characters work their way up the ladder of Societies, unlocking new abilities and triggering new event chains
  • Hunt for Heretics: Send your chaplain out to find secret societies that undermine the holy church and your realm. But what if the hunter is guilty himself?
  • Other New Councillor Actions: Your councillors have a fourth action that will make them more powerful and integral to sound rulership
  • And much more: Assassins, archaeological expeditions, holy relics, great treasures and more
Get hyped, SteamGAF. Paradox is on a roll.

Should monthly Humble subscribers get their Xcom 2 already?
I am kinda confused. I got a year worth of bundle beforehand, cancelled the subscription again and now I am not sure if I still get the bundles or not... (i wrote support a week ago with no answer yet...)

You get the monthly banner game immediately, so if you're subscribed you should have XCOM 2 already because it's January's.

Someone with photo editing skills should make a Detention ot. Great sound work and pretty atmospheric so far, nicely put together surprise out of nowhere.

They don't send/charge the headline game straight away, usually not until the week before the rest of the bundle drops.

You have the option of paying early to get XCOM 2 now. This page about half way down, hit "pay early"

XCOM 2 is February's early game. It's not part of January's list of games.
And yes, if you pay today you'll get XCOM2 directly. If you decide to unsubscribe directly after paying you will still get February's remaining games.

That looks awesome! I think that expansion is going to make me start another game. I actually got The Reaper's Due recently and haven't tried it yet, so I might aswell wait for that and check out both.

Could anyone confirm whether XCOM2 in the Humble Bundle includes the DLCs? I'd rather wait for the summer sale to get a combo deal than buy the bundle now and shell out for the DLC later.. I did that with XCOM and getting the expansion for a good discount was a pain in the ass..

It doesn't.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

I'm guessing XCOM2 is going to follow XCOM and the DLCs are never going to get a good discount.

I also doubt you're going to get a better deal than 12$ for XCOM2 + 7 other games for a good long time either. I think it was a few years before XCOM was a Golden Joystick giveaway? And that was probably partly to fuel DLC sales as well.

Yeah but for the longest time buying XCOM+EW in a sale was cheaper than buying EW standalone in a sale; I'm thinking summer 17 sale will see an XCOM+DLC bundle that will be better value.. I mean, $12 for 7 games is great but there's no guarantee 5 of those aren't stuff I already own..

Plus im also playing Evoland 2 which im really liking and havent played hardly any of the last 2 days because I went hard on finishing XIII

I don't know if I should start RE7 or Kingdom Hearts 2.8, considering I barely have time to play lately. Dunno, maybe I'll do both, the prequel is like 2 hours long, and RE7 is like 10 hours long, I should manage to beat both during this week, I have also saturday and sunday free this time.

Yep, tired of seeing them. False information gets posted, then you get people arguing etc etc

Yawn

This evangelism of a handful of user is really weird

Maybe one day we'll have PC "Master Race" users knocking on doors trying to convert

"Hi, could you spare a moment of your time to talk about our Lord and saviour, Gaben?"

In my experience the ones who are the loudest about trying to convert others to PC are the ones with the worst system specs.

I knew someone who bought an already outdated gaming laptop, that couldnt play any games well, but he was the loudest when he talked about "good graphics".
