It's just a loss in the number, not the review itself.

The number of positive reviews is more important than the review itself. Say you were Positive before the new review policy, but because of it, you are now Mixed. That's a huge knock down the ratings ladder and a potentially significant profit loss. It also means that your options are limited to just Steam until you get a good enough number of reviews to feel safe selling elsewhere - which, again, if you are indie, could take months to years.

Oh, forgot to say that Bayonetta is frigging awesome. Even though i still suck at timings and can't avoid around 1/3 of enemies attacks, but combat is so damn good. I missed games like this, if i'm not wrong there was no DMC-style game released for current generation except remasters.

That's probably because of your avatar though. I don't think that you're playstation fanboy btw!

Don't worry I didn't took your post as such.

Nowadays, having arguments is being a fanboy. :")

It's honestly weird that there is an argument to begin with. I never even said it's 100% Microsofts fault, just that I'd rather give the benefit of a doubt to platinum as Microsoft has a history of cancelling games this gen, where as platinum does not have one of getting their games cancelled

Yup, it's just as I said. The fact that Platinum under delivered in some department has just an obvious showing on why: They are developped, they work with whatever tool publisher gives them. Shitty games were licenced fast cash grabs, great games were developped from scratch, with a regular schedule.

Microsoft cancel it, Microsoft did cancel a lot of games and has an history with weird relationship with devs. It's normal to think that Microsoft might be at fault here.

But then they let Remedy and Insomniac for example do their thing so there are also examples that favors them.

yeah it's important that you guys know this if you intend to buy the game. You really can't count on putting no more than 3hrs (straight through) if you're an avid gamer. I'm sorry if this information feels dissapointing to you but we where aiming at making a game around 3-4hrs of casual gameplay from the beginning. Of course we wish that we could make a full-length gaming experience but I'll be honest with you, it's good that we have this length being the 5 people in dev; making our first game with 1.5 years to make a 3D platformer happen, well it's not an easy task and it would have been detrimental if we would have pushed ourselves even further than we did. Just being real here. Sorry if this have seemed unclear for you. I will make sure that we release the game with some discount so that you early birds still feel that you're getting bang for the buck.

Infinite Warfare 50% off, the Legacy version is 33% off and the Legacy upgrade is full price. Activision actually penalizes you if you bought the vanilla Infinite Warfare.

Yeah, not saying it's okay with what they do, it's a big bummer. But it's not as simple as people make it out to be.

It's not as simple, but then again, the argument that both Microsoft and PG have up and downs in their respective history because it's irrelevant. PG is a follower, Microsoft is a decision maker. And PG have yet to fail as a follower. As of now, their bad games are all related to the decision makers.

And as for Microsoft, there are multiple exemples, especially during the XB1 era, of being a harsh decision maker. So it's rather hard to imagine that Platinum Games, made of veteran developpers, which shipped high quality games during normal conditions, on a project directed by a veteran in the industry (Hideki Kamiya), who directed high quality, multi-million selling games, be responsible of this failure when we know how Microsoft treated some devs in the past.

"Remember text interfaces? They're back! In FMV form."

It'll really depend on how good the parser is. The fact that they have "over 40 different clips as a way of saying 'I don't know'" kinda tells me they're prepared for frustration.

that's not by the contradiction people, yes?

Doctor Dekker = D'Avekki Studios
Contradiction = Baggy Cat

it's those actors that confuse me

and they could have renamed their studio too

How difficult is it to get a Wii U Pro controller working on PC and with Steam games?

I'm pretty bad with getting controllers to work with Steam and only managed to get a DS3 to work with a few games before, and I could never get that to work with Downwell for some reason, but I might retire my Wii U Pro controller and make it my PC controller it it's feasible to do that

I think the Mayflash Adapter is the easiest way. Costs 20€ though.

How well does Unexplored play with a controller?

Plays just fine, but I actually prefer k/m for inventory management.

Might be a good time to check it out as it's 20% off this weekend. They just released free DLC (Ripley Run) this week as well.

I'm quite enjoying it myself. Put about 30 hours into the game over the past couple weeks. It started as a lock for my 2017 Top 10, but has since crept into the Top 3.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World got a 50% price drop on Steam recently. Looking at recent reviews score it has only 12% positive reviews.

This is a case where the game isn't anywhere as bad as the user reviews make it out to be, Don't get me wrong, its got issues and Planet Coaster is way better but RCTW is an evolution of RCT 3 and does a lot of things right. It is even better than Planet Coaster in some areas such as park management.

Good to hear. It's going straight to the top of my wishlist then.

I am done with Nioh. I don't want to play it any more. Game has become more of a chore than fun. Combat feels freaking slow because I am so use to dodging and being fast I can't just break that habit in this game. It owns me.

I use the Mayflash Adapter and it's pretty straightforward, plug the adapter, make sure the switch on the adapter is xinput, sync with your controller and done.

Some cons: The adapter won't turn off on idle even if your controller is off. So games will still detect you have an 360 controller plug in. And you can only use 1 gamepad in xinput mode, while you can use 4 gamepad on direct input mode.

I know you can use other software using a standard bluetooth adapter, but I never tried it.

The Wii U Pro Gamepad is my go to for dpad and any game that doesn't need an analog trigger. Battery life and the dpad is way better than the competition.

This so much.
I was a longtime DualShock user, gave the WiiUProPad a whirl and after a week or so of having to accustom myself to stick placement, I'm never not using it for pad games.
I even gave my DS4 to my brother, SteamCon+WiiUPro combo covers pretty much every game imaginable

I just got the
bad ending
in Hollow Knight, but this game's already taken its toll on me and I don't feel like getting the 100% needed @_@

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
By the way, who's currently owning Sam and Max license?

It's like Borderlands but actually good.

How can you not see the appeal of FPS + RPG? Probably the two biggest genres.

Borderlands bored me though. Also not a big fan of garbo loot galore.

It's coop loot not-Halo, basically. I tried to play it two times, always traded it back in after some hours. I did not get the appeal at all.
It is and will be huge. But not for me. (like Overwatch).

Halo didn't have RPG elements though, I thought it was just an honest shooter.

There are games where you click dudes and your numbers get bigger. There are games where you shoot dudes and it's fun. In Destiny you shoot dudes and it's fun and your numbers get bigger. I haven't played the first one beyond the beta, but if it's anything like Division's progression I imagine I'll have a good time with it.

So the comparison with Borderlands is apt then?

Also wat, no dedicated servers?!
