Lol @escape dead island. That game is so going to be doodoo. I wonder why they keep pushing that franchis, I guess it must be making a pretty penny.
You know what the worst thing is? Various countries have different interpretations and dates of when they shift their clocks around. Some countries have stopped using it but it's pretty much everywhere in Europe and North America. I think Australia is even more freaky in only part of the country does where the others don't.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
And then there's the state of Arizona that doesn't observe it at all. Good on them, but it further confuses people that have to do cross-state business there.
We need to just ditch this whole daylight savings time thing, globally.

In Florida the shift in daylight only seems to be caused by daylight savings time. It's always seemed really silly.

Daylight Savings never really bothered me that much: Everybody in your country does it along with you, so there isn't much to make it confusing.
The real shitty part is when you do things on the internet and live on a different hemisphere. In my particular case, things shift 2 hours depending on which part of the year we are.
For instance: Steam Daily Deals.
Steam, usually, updates their store at 2pm for me.
Recently, Brazil went into Dailyght Savings. That means that the Steam store is updating at 3pm.
Soon, the US will go into Daylight Savings (or come out of it? I'm not sure), which means the deals will start happening at 4pm local.
That's a two full hours ahead. That's usually not a big problem, except when things happen live on PT time. Giantbomb's UPF (for instance) will move from 7pm to 9pm, so on and so forth.
Could be worst, I guess.

Awesome, I won the Transformer game. I was really impressed by the movies. Transformers 2 is probably my favourite movie, though 4 is also amazing.

The shift in daylight times is more pronounced throughout the seasons the farther you are from the Earth's equator. Think "far north" like northern Alaska where at certain times of the year it's dark almost all day and light almost all day in the opposite season. Therefore, daylight "savings" time will have a larger impact on the actual length of your day (sunrise to sunset) the closer you get to the equator.
Personally, I think we should all just switch to a universal time as this AM/PM construct is purely psychological.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Escape Dead Island doesn't look too bad, especially since it looks like it is only cribbing the general setting of Dead Island and none of the shallow-yet-better-than-Borderlands gameplay of the main entries.
Plus it's made by Fatshark, an actually-competent developer.
