so glad I got skyrim for free now I don't have to shit on it without playing it ;)

Its a good game. I never played it on PC tho or the dlc. If you do play it for reals..just stay away from sites like youtube. There are so many powerleveling and other exploits videos out there..it will ruin the game. Go in blind and play in hardest difficulty. Its a great ride. There is a solid 50 hours of fun in it before you get bored.

Funny thing - I have cheap lenses in my glasses, and just about any straight line when looked at an angle has Chromatic Aberration (orange/blue). Gets really noticable with peripheral vision.
I have curgen bloom applied all the time in IRL, is what I'm saying.

Fucking chromatic aberration. I got a new pair of glasses and my whole world looked like one giant Crytek game.

It's amazing how much you can spend on lenses to get rid of chromatic aberration and reduce aperture issues that cause a bokeh effect in photography and cinema but games add these like the tinsel on the Christmas tree! The video games industry's obsession with cinema is a baffling one especially when you consider it was some fantastic strengths that cinema are never going to have.

Why do developers even use CA?

I find it looks alright when not over done and used sparingly but this is gaming where talking about and subtly isn't exactly top of the bill. Bloom works well as does volumetric lighting when used in specific instances and to slight degrees but is more often than not cranked up to 11.

exactly? why? who thought we need two film industries (one is really more than enough at times)? why it is seen as desirable? because of profits movies make? But games can't make the same profits by being movies, they probably could being awesome games.

Eh I don't know maybe some people within the gaming industry don't think they are taken seriously enough like cinema, music and literature. Sadly for a fair few instead of trying to play to gaming's own strengths there are comparisons to film or trying to ape film like techniques.

First thing I did before really getting into Payday 2, installed the Chromatic Aberration Removal mod...

Cinematic stuff is especially bad in (competitive) MP. Clarity? More responsiveness? You know, to help players? Nope! Just imagine CS with all that shit. *shivers*

Was bummed that I missed Skyrim for free and almost considered it at $3 before I remembered that I can play it through Family Sharing. I need to keep better mental notes of what games I want to play that I already "own" through that.

CS:S (as of the Orange Box update) and GO have motion blur, but needless to say I leave it well and truly disabled.

I opened up the chat window and told them you didn't like Max Payne so they put you on a list

Ah yeah, we have that talk pending! After lunch or something I'm totally copy and paste all the stuff I said on Steam and here on GAF about that godforsaken game. :p

FAKE EDIT: there was a huge (for EU standards) spider climbing the wall near my kitchen door, while I shat my pants I threw my cat at it and now I have a blood stain on the wall and a happy cat.

Humble Bundle are responsible for 100 games being ported to Linux: http://blog.humblebundle.com/post/101186281150/you-helped-bring-over-100-games-to-linux

If you didn’t already know, we’ve been hard at work to help bring great indie titles to as many people as possible. In order to do so, we’ve worked with a couple of talented porters - including our own full-time in-house porter - to bring these typically single-platform games to other platforms like Mac and Linux.

Before including a game in a Humble Indie Bundle we make many considerations: is the game cross-platform? Is it DRM-free? If a game isn’t quite there but could use an extra helping hand, we step in and make it happen.

Humble Bundle works with numerous porters to help bring games over to Mac, Linux, Android and now to the Web with asm.js. Porting isn’t easy, either. It takes time, money and skilled individuals to get games up and running on other systems. The vast majority of games we help port are from indie developers who may not have the resources necessary to do the ports themselves. With products like the Steam Machine on the horizon, the demand of having games available on multiple platforms becomes more important every day.

How is Lords of The Fallen RU version? I want to buy that game only to test performance so a discount is very much appreciated here.

If I buy the RU key and I use a VPN to add the key to my steam account... can I use other languages in the game?

The RU/CIS sub for retail keys is "language-locked" (i.e. it only includes Russian).

Might have something to do with the ref link he posted. Dunno, that guy just seems to profit from everyone by posting his links everywhere.

There was a referral link to post to people to earn a commission but I don't think that would be the basis for the store credit. If that is then I am extremely sorry for giving the original link and making you all loose out on the store credit.
