Use them, they're not essential, since Origins has lots of gits (both general and character specific), but the system is broken and kinda stupid anyway, so why not.
I imagine many people have asked for refunds due to the game being in suspended animation. Following this I'd guess that Valve contacts the developer asking for an update on the development roadmap and if it either doesn't receive an answer or gets an unsatisfactory one then the game is pulled.
Sucks for people who backed these guys
Glad I decided to buy the Forest instead of The Stomping Land. I was torn between the two when they came out in the same week. The Forest turned out to be solid game and has constant support from devs. Still has a longs way to go but was worth it imo.
So it will get yanked eventually? Not the same case as Earth: Year 2066, as that one was clearly a scam but I guess the dev will have trouble to get the game back on Steam once it resumes development

How focused is it? Are there clear goals or is it more sandboxy? (I know there's a demo, but at $3.50 I'd rather just jump in or not, praise be to IdleMaster.)
What's happening now is exactly what happened with Earth: Year 2066. The sub was pulled and the dev stripped of Steam Partness access, but the store page was left up for about a week before being taken down also.

It certainly was a welcome reprieve from playing the rest of that stinker. If someone wants to see a real 90s like fps get Wolfenstein TNO or Shadow Warrior. DNF was nothing of that sort (neither was Colonial Marines imo, not sure which of them is worse), it was a weird mix stuck between old and new.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
The save is in your documents folder, you just have to copy and paste to make 'back ups' and rename them to the default save file to 'reload.'
I...am tempted to wax philosophical about the pros and cons of engaging in save scumming when a game deliberately prevents it, and go on meandering tangents about the Banner Saga's design choices in general. But fuck it. Suffice it to say, you can save scum away and I don't think you'll really miss out on anything, unless you really, really want to play the game multiple times. I didn't.

When I opened up my laptop and went here to the steam thread and saw almost 30 new pages, I immediately knew something was up.
Before reading up 30 pages, I took a look at my steam activity feed and saw cheedahz posting he got three major games for 0,99$ and I thought he's joking at first.
Now, I saw this newegg deal. Oh, man. I really make the worst decisions in my life. Yesterday I didn't sleep and stayed awake till 11:30AM just to watch Sony's pre-TGS show which resulted in me sleeping till 19:30PM and generally having wasted a day for basically nothing. Today I think I made the right decision and went to bed early at already 6:30AM and now I see I missed such a nice deal. Star Citizen for a buck especially would have been such a great way to start the day. And now all deals on newegg are out of stock.
But there's so much more happened. First things first.

Since I have depression too and just recently came out of the worst depression phase I have ever had, I want you to know, even if everything gets drab, grey and dark; you cannot see any way out of your current life and troubles; never forget, there are others who were in the exact same spot as you and things got better. I had the exact opposite experience with mobile. My GeForce 9600M GS is even under heavy gaming very cool while even during short play-sessions with my uncle's laptop, having a RADEON 5650, the laptop almost melted, so hot did it get. I had to stop playing on that, it was crazy hot.
Hope new GPUs have temp problems figured out though by now.

Some do, story-wise.
The rest depends on your difficulty setting iirc.

It's not like Fire Emblem where they can die in a battle and be permanently gone. It's like Bioware games, if they die during a battle they will get injured and can only be permanently killed through story decisions. I think there might be one or two exceptions though

It isn't, use it for a while first. Some UI choices are weird at the beginning but everything else is top notch imo.
Open and direct? He regularly shat on SteamGAF behind our backs and then came in here posting like nothing happened. Rubbed me the wrong way. Also his weird outbursts of aggressiveness from time to time, not surprised he eventually went off the rails, maybe a break will help him.

The interface is horrible but it is a better OS than 7 as far as performance goes.

Nope, it's not. The faster boot time along with the improved file copying / transfer already sealed the deal for me. Try to mess around / tinker with the OS and you might like it.
EDIT: Just don't code with win 8. That would really suck.
Also, if you set to boot to desktop view and configure to open files with non-fullscreen applications, Win 8 basically becomes a flat Win 7 with a weird start menu.

It's called in-home streaming for a reason. It's not tied to internet speed at all....
I'm guessing you're connecting through wi-fi router from you host to the client? Usually that's not the way to go. Also depends a lot on your host and client performance.
faster, not better in any other regard. Also not 8.1 but 8, even if it's bug ridden like Bethesda game.
