Stoked about Shadows of Mordor like everyone else! I saw a view video clips and it looked so promising. I'm glad Monolith knocked it out of the park--hopefully, word of mouth will make the game catch on and get the sales it deserves.

6GB of VRAM? Do they even make those? The larges I saw on the 770s when I bought mine was 4GB, I think?

Good stuff, Shadow - the early reviews are wonderful to see. I was confident about it... but you never know.
The ultimate test will of course be what you and the other learned folks of SteamGAF think of it - very much looking forward to hearing your early thoughts in 4-5 days or so!

Indeed. With their last couple of games (especially that console focused LOTR MOBA), I was really worried that the studio might cease to exist in a few years.

Eh, I can't speak for others, but it's not as if I'm declaring it an amazing game based on the scores. But the fact that multiple sites are giving it near perfect scores means it's probably not awful. I already own the game either way, so I'll see for myself in a few days, but it's good to hear positive news is all.
It could always end up like GTA IV and be a really mediocre game with perfect review scores, so I'm not celebrating in the streets that IGN have declared the game good. It's just a good sign, especially when a few hours ago I was worried because someone said they didn't send out PC review codes.
From what I've heard, they didn't. PC version could still be a mess, even if the game is good.
Everyone assumed they didnt, but they did. IGN review contains some stuff about the PC Version - and PCGamer already uploaded a max settings gameplay with a dedicated review to come later on.

The 360 and PS3 versions are being done by an entirely different studio.
I hadn't seen that. I definitely saw some press complaining on twitter about not being able to get a PC copy, so I don't know what's going on.

My hardware instincts are telling me you wouldn't be able to make out 6GB of texture fidelity in 1080p.
I mean, I guess if you like to zoom in on things in first person and jack off to grains of dirt in the walls or something it might be beneficial for you...

That's just the texture setting, you can run everything else on high If you have a good enough GPU.

Phew, glad I'm holding on playing Wasteland 2. Achievements on the way next month, makes me happy.
