Steam Summer Sale 2013 Thread #2 - Many questions answered in the OP's FAQ

You must not like Tiny Tina as that is the obvious "stand-out", so I'll mention Torgue. Handsome Jack really stood out to me as being a great antagonist. Most of the rest of the NPC's were carried over from the first game.

Handsome Jack is great since he actually believes he's the good guy. It's not a guy doing bad shit for the greater good. It's just a guy doing bad shit because he thinks it's good and he thinks everyone else is bad.

Hotline Miami and FTL are amazing. I dunno if I would have got them otherwise but I am thankful for kind gaf members because those two seriously blew me away.

Don't think it's that deep, at least from what I've seen. It's basically build your own large scale universe, then do whatever you want with it.

No. There is no game element. No objectives or missions or anything. You can only edit the properties of the planets (density, orbit, gravity etc) and see what happens.

Last time I played there wasn't even any audio. I find space fascinating but I totally regret buying and would give it a hard pass if I could do it over again.

Just big sphere o' gravity.

And did someone say Alpha Protocol? That, my fellow GAFfers, is a goddamn game.

Ah that's too bad. I'll probably skip on it then.

Only need 43 screenshots and I'm done with my Steam account, never buying anything ever again.

Or I could say 'fuck it' and grab one of those Bad Rats giveaways.

Same here. More indies in the dailies and flash deals please!

Yup, Steam sales evolves with each iteration but I really miss the one with indie bundles.
This year bundles would have been fabulous.

For info my indie wish list -
Monaco
Dust
Rogue Legacy
Penny Arcade 4
Gunpoint
Home (really cheap, not gonna resist much longer)
Anodyne
La-Mulana
Stealth Bastard
Evoland
Rocketbird

And non indie -
Some Daedalic point & clicks (75%, trying to be serious here again)
Sleepings Dogs final DLC
And some AAA things like Resident Evil Revelation, AC3 etc...

Do yourself a favor and play the campaign, there's a lot of really funky, fun stuff in there. Jake's campaign in particular is insane and bizarre but full of variety that actually works more often than not.

Hell, all of the campaigns have their positives. Chris's campaign is my favorite, car chase aside possibly but even that I got on the first try. Just goes on a bit long.

I have a question about boarderlands 2. I am about to buy the game and season pass, with the extra class mods and slaughter dome. Am I missing anything I don't care about extra skins.

I finally ran through BL2 (thanks Green man) and Handsome Jack made me lose my shit the entire game.

Giving away one of the most unique, and atmospheric games ever made. Truly nothing else like it out there, Ice-Pick Lodge really should be better known. Please only take if you will actually play it <3

Hey, quick question : does The Walking Dead (Telltale version) exists in a PC boxed version or is the boxed version only for 360/PS3 ? I searched but didn't find anything so if somebody knows anything... thanks !

I keep skipping out on Sleeping Dog sales in hopes that, someday, we may see a massive version with all the DLC. Thinking that hope isn't worth holding onto. Maybe I'll grab it if it goes on sale again this time.

Nope, but I recommend you skip the creature slaughter dome DLC. It's not fun or worth it.

At this point, the cards for the daily deal games have dropped so much in price that I'm holding on to them. Hoping that the market creeps back up,

Really great game, huge amount of depth that isn't immediately apparent (be ready to read guides online).

I already have it, but haven't played it. That good? I guess I'll have to try it out soon.
