Just finished playing Magicka story mode for about 3 hours (got to chapter 6) with two friends, so entertaining! and funny as hell, good times, hadn't laughed so hard in a while, everyone should pick this game up.

Okay, should I buy Magicka? What are the odds it's going to run smoothly on my computer? (Win 7 64-bit, older Core 2 Duo, but baller HD5850)

you'll be fine. The game has some stuttering (at least in my case) but its a known "glitch" with some setups, will get fixed hopefully

My review: Ghetto fabulous.

If you would have to weigh it, where would it fall between "Ghetto" and "Fabulous"?

Garshasp is not that bad. Sure, it pales in comparison to God of War. But, if I remember correctly, this is a Indie game made by like 4 dudes. It's ambitious and delivers, albeit not wonderfully, on a premise of delivering God of War-like gameplay.

For 2,50 and a ticket, it's well worth it. For now.

You should try the demo, the game seems to randomly choose what PC's it wants to run and which ones not to.

I cannot! I am far away from my computer right now. Like, around 3,000 miles. = (

Go for it, you will be fine and it's a fantastic game if you have friends to play it with.

Also it does use your graphics card pretty intensively, my 6950 temps average around 70c with the average game, intense games get it to ~80c and Magicka gets it around that as well, I actually had to set up a manual fan profile for it so it doesn't get that hot, after 3 hours of playing with it, it still got ~76c.

The stuttering is a known issue, they still need to fix it, but it's tolerable.

This was before the Summer sale, but I bought Hydrophobia for 3 bucks last week and finally got around to playing it.

The thing really sucks. A lot.

I got it this evening as well... then I kept going, and I've just finished the game. It was good, I hope to see more of this dog in the future.

I was actually planning on playing it all the way through today, since I've been in an adventure game mood. Finally got that achievement though! Switching computers worked. Annoying that it took so much effort but eh, now I can do that first section blind-folded.

I wouldn't count on it...it's been "known" for six months with no fix.

lol @ Baha & Weenerz

Next time check your friend list!

My download speed is crap, tonight. Downloading Civ V is gonna take a while.

Any help with my Splinter Cell Conviction problem? Basically, my mouse feels awful. I have to make large movements with my wrist to really move the camera. I have the same problem with ACII.

Get a 360 controller...these games were not made with K&M as the primary control method.

I can do that, but I guess I wanted to try it with a mouse. No biggie, anyway.

I'll just use the ds3/motionjoy.

my steam name is Captain_EO if anyone would like to add me. I dont have any friends right now

How is Plants vs Zombies? Thinking about picking that up.

we'll get there

game is so good and cheap that i never really cared that much

nope

Well it bothers the shit outta me that they cant fix the stuttering issue but they can release plenty of DLC.

I really want to play this game but the stuttering is incredibly distracting.

Can someone tell me how this whole "Salsa is a girl" thing started. I swear it's mentioned on almost every page.

EDIT: OH GOD, my avatar is marvelous.

Day 1-3 purchases

Recettear - $5
Darksiders - $5

wow! If I don't have self-control, I would've bought more than this, but so far Im satisfied with my purchases. Hoping for some games to have a daily deal

Ah I see, well considering the price then I think it's worth taking the risk =p
Got the game today and while I didn't get to play much yet, it's quite fun so far.

Is all of the Magicka DLC just map/item packs? Thinking of buying the complete pack but none of the DLC I saw seemed worthwhile, and I just want to play the campaign so I won't use any maps. Should I just get the base game, or is there any DLC worth spending a few extra bucks on?

Bought Oblivion;GotY Deluxe the other day for $8!

Now i'm just hoping 2009 Wolfenstein drops to a respectable sale price. It's still sitting at $20.
