Just 2. I like the game mechanics better in 1 but you get all the 1 content in 2 so there's not much point in going back to the original.

1 definitely has the best characters though. 2's characters are so generic....

5 levels for multiplayer, 4 for Single Player.

It's definitely more enjoyable in co-op. I paid $7.50 and I still feel I got my money's worth, even more so now that they've added in 4-player co-op.
