So, finished earlier, so sorry for those waiting for the exact 30 min mark. This might be good though, since we miss the store change F5 tourney.

So far I have spent $20 and go; Just Cause 2, Alpha Protocol, and GTA IV Complete. What a freakin steal, I'm sticking the the main courses and not going with anything else to add to the cost. AAA tittles at $5 are what Im about.

Survival Mode is pretty much this without the CounterStrike leftover "let's go buy some new weapons" bullshit, but each to it's own.
Sure, but don't forget the difference in gameplay, which makes them very different from each other.

I will trade my copy of Portal for almost anything that goes on sale that I don't have. Private message me if interested.

There have been some really good indie games at <$5 which are fantastic.

8,205 posts in last year's Steam Summer Sale thread which continued for a few days after the sale and this year's thread is currently topping 14,300 posts with 3 more days to go. Anyone remember if the Steam OT was locked during the sale last year also?

Just 2. I like the game mechanics better in 1 but you get all the 1 content in 2 so there's not much point in going back to the original.

Not all the content from 1 yet. You have to wait. Valve time...

Yea they have been. Indie games are usually keyboard / mouse, since I game on my TV that is a problem. I have a $1,300 computer but a $40 monitor, which is why I game on my plasma TV.

What's your setup? I have an AMD X4 965 with 4GB of ram & a BFG 250 GTS.

AMD Athlon X2 250 (3GHz), with 4GB of ram and Geforce 5670. I'm not running it at exceptionally high settings (it looks only slightly better than the 360 version), but I'm getting 30+ FPS at 1920x1080.

I expected far worse from the other thread.

Has the GTA IV download been incredibly slow for anybody else? I've had no trouble downloading Episodes from Liberty City, but the base game has been downloading for nearly a day now and it's not even at the half way point.

Gothic 3.

Forsaken Gods is an expansion for Gothic 3 which by all accounts is pretty bad, just get him Gothic 3 or even better the Gothic Universe pack which is like 6 bucks i think for Gothic 1, 2 and 3.

Thanks, picked up Gothic 3 for him.

Beat Hazard proves otherwise. There are a few games that do have controller support.
