Guys, is today the last day of the sale ? I see everyone going berserk but on the steam page it says that the 10th is the last day. What gives ?
Last day is normally a 'best of' the days before.

Buying Terraria for me and my wife. Have 2 spots left in my 4-pack. First two people who PM me willing to pay $1.90 can join in!

How do you give games from a four pack? I just got the Terraria one too.

EDIT: Nevermind the option just popped up.

Base Neverwinter Nights 2 is not very good, but Mask of the Betrayer stands with the best in the genre. Definitely worth getting at that price.

PM me if you want to join me in a Portal 2 2-pack! That should help make it easy to find someone to co-op with.

Edit: someone pm'd already, disregard this.

Everyone should get Terraria, its 2.49 and it's awesome. I can't believe it went so cheap, I was expecting 4.99 and at that price it's still an amazing deal.

Updates adding more content are continually coming out too. Such a great game.

Now I have to decide whether or not I should get Portal 2.. I'm so cheap... Hell I'll probably get it...

Terraria for sure. Thinking real hard about Dead Space 2 and Sam & Max.

so what repeats are everyone else hoping for tomorrow? I missed out on some of the first few days deals :-( so I'm hoping for

BTTF
Dawn of War
Shogun 2

Terraria get!
I think that does it, now I'll wait until tomorrow for the recap day and buy all the things I've been holding out on... whatever they are.

Whats all this talk about Terraria? Should I pick it up?

It's like a 2D minecraft but it's more of an actual game. Yes you build houses for yourself and npcs but you go around the world digging for materials to use with the amazing crafting system to build better tools and weapons for the increasingly difficult monsters/bosses. I've already put close to 30 hours into the single player and I bought it right before the summer sale started, there's more to be had in multiplayer too. The gaf server should be in the terraria OT.

The devs are constantly patching and updating the game too. There's a patch coming soon that adds status effects and debuffs among many other things, and the patch after that is confirmed to be something massive that adds even more "game" elements to it.

FYI even if you're able to fix the lag in DS1, the 360 controller dead spot is terrible.
Here's an easy way to fix the lag in the dead space series:

Turn off Vsync in game, turn it ON in your graphics card control panel

Bummed that the X games aren't Steamplay despite having Mac versions. I got a few decent things to beef up my Mac library but overall not many good daily deals. Gonna suck if tomorrow is a roundup of the deals and not some mega ones they've been holding out on. Portal 2 for $25 is hardly a deal when it's been $30 on/off at most places for a few months now.

How are the Sam and Max games, seems like you're getting a lot for 6.24.

Good, but really Season 3 is the best one by far and I'd almost say the other 2 aren't worth playing if you're not a huge fan of adventure games to begin with, as Season 3 is a lot less traditional.

I have a Brink key (Steamworks game) that I'd like to trade for NWN2 + PoP Forgotten Sands + Hitman Pack ($19.26 w/o tax)

Anyone? PM me your Steam ID/profile link.

Damn you steam! Damn you!!!
So I've now gone twice over my summer sale limit :<
/starts to pray to god gabe for borderlands _ alpha protocol recaps tomorrow!

Nice sale. I'm not sure if I should go with the Dead Space 1/2 bundle or just 2 since I've played 1 on the consoles.

Also, Terraria is so goddamn good and you freaks better not pass on it considering the price.

Oh shit, and NWN2??? Ah man, Valve must have seen my wishlist.

Valve can go to hell. I tried registering an out-of-region copy of Portal 2 to my account (had relative log in and activate it in another country) and I can't install the game inspite of it being in my library. I now try to buy a "proper" copy today and I'm not allowed to. Sick service.

Is the X Superbox worth it, or will the latest game do (Terran Conflict)?

Terran conflict is enough,.

Last of sales for me. Got terraria will buy ares but I'm torn between fallout 1/2 and dead space 2. I enjoyed ds1 during Xmas but not sure I'm ready to return to it.

I put PAM in my cart. Has anyone here actually played it? I don't really like the genre so I don't expect to get much out of it, but if I get a few hours for my $2.49 I'll be happy. is it even passable?

I kind of want Hitman Bloodmoney because I've heard good things and I've never played a game in the series.

On the other hand it is probably $2.50 that is better put toward something that won't just sit in a backlog like Dead Space 2.

are there any good mods for mass effect 1 and mass effect 2 that work with steam? i know there's that "hd textures" one, but i don't know if its worth downloading if they dont work with steam

Quote. Has anyone got an answer?
Massive improvement IMO. Better story, companions, better graphics (after patch of course).
And 6.79 for 3 games is a steal. Each game can take you 20+ hours if you do everything.

Hows NWN2? I;ve heard mixed opnions, for the record I fucking loved the first one and the expansions
Most of the negative reviews were caused by terrible graphics code and cliffhanging ending. After several patches the graphics engine is pretty optimized and the ending won't bother you much this time because the sequel (MOTB) is packed in.

Did you like the first one for the standard campaigns or for the multi and community stuff?

Cause the base campaigns are some of the worst garbage ever to be called a CRPG.

The Base NWN2 campaign is good, but it's woefully slow to get going. Once you get past the first chapter it gets much better.

Mask of the Betrayer is PHENOMENAL and you should play it or you are a terrible person.

Storm of Zehir is worth playing if you want more of the combat. It's the best option if you want strategic D&D gameplay.

Like I said, it's not the lag. Even with that 'fixed' there is still a large dead spot with the analog stick.
