Honestly i don't have problems with Shadow-Drops. Bring em on.Going forward, I think shadowdrops will become more common. It's the perfect recipe for impulse purchases and fast hype.
Yes.It's still peaking. Will it hit 300-400k this weekend?
For real!Glad to see all the concern trolls "worrying" about MS releasing too many games and it "not making sense" to release a game with no marketing have been silenced. We should want more games, especially multiplat releases.
I feel like Microsoft just kneecapped Claire obscure expedition 33 team![]()
To think a whole generation of people who grew up on Skyrim will be playing this for the first time![]()
Fuck yeah!TES VI is gonna do INSANE numbers.
A bit disingenuous don't you think? That initial release window is crucial due to marketing campaigns, word of mouth and the likes and also to get the investment back to keep the studio going. Now there's absolutely going to be people who would buy and play Clair if Oblivion didn't came out but now they'd rather spend their time and money on good old TES.Free market.
They have no ode to hold back games cause some other game released and if this Claire game is so good, people will want to play it regardless of what OTHER game is coming out
People do not buy games out of default, they buy based on real, genuine actual interest. Its why I never get this weird excuse of "oh, it only sold cause nothing else was out" fuck you think I was doing with $50?
Spending it on this Claire game cause Oblivion didn't release or? Why would Oblivion NOT releasing make me want something I didn't want in the first place? lol
So yea, the money will be spent, the same damn rules apply though, it still must be good and have a real interest for me to spend on it.
Thats like saying the very original Elder Scrolls Oblivion release killed that Godfather game...
(Here is a hint, they ended up releasing a sequel cause chances are, people wanted that game, even if Elder Scrolls released the day prior....)
Well if anything TES VI will be subject to even more criticism if it ends up being more like Starfield than Skyrim or this. Let's not forget, modern Bethesda is a shadow of its former self and Oblivion now attracting a new generation of players.180k now
It just won't stop!
A good amount even on a non gamepass AAA game so it's extremely high since the Oblivion Remaster is a AA budget game and one that's on gamepass at the same time.
Fuck yeah!
Should be at least double the rate/amount of even this Oblivion Remaster because it'll be a full blown high budget AAA game that's also the sequel after V.
Now I'm curious about this game's staying power, Starfield has been averaging 3k players while Skyrim has been averaging 20k, if Oblivion manages to keep a Skyrim level of numbers then Bethesda might actually learn a few very important things to keep in mind during VI's development.
A smaller but deeper world is better than a huge but very shallow one.
I am 99.9% sure that a single player Elder Scroll or Fallout game can't be anywhere near as bad and boring as Starfield even if they half ass the game.Well if anything TES VI will be subject to even more criticism if it ends up being more like Starfield than Skyrim or this. The usual green rats are dodging making this comment.But this can't be, it's also on gamepass.
Factoring everything like budget, being on gamepass or not etc. This game is doing extremely well.What insane numbers is this game actually doing? Me and everyone I know installed through Gamepass I don't know a single person who purchased through Steam.
We need a poll on how people are playing this for the next thread.
I bought it directly on Steam. Should have waited and saved a few bucks buying it on Fantatical, could have got the Deluxe edition for the same price.What insane numbers is this game actually doing? I really hope so, I know I'm dunking on modern Bethesda but ultimately I hope this game serves as a reminder to them why they became beloved by fans, warts and all.I am 99.9% sure that a single player Elder Scroll or Fallout game can't be anywhere near as bad and boring as Starfield even if they half ass the game.
Actually I'm 100% sure Elder Scrolls VI would be a beyond 10/10 experience.
Let's hope Morrowind is next!Mans releasing what the people want.

Fallout 3 Remake/Remaster is next since it was on the same listing for Oblivion Remake/RemasterLet's hope Morrowind is next!
In case anyone didn't see it on the other thread. Here's something that might help those with performance problems. Someone posted this on Steam.
Ray tracing is forced here is a fix for performance.
- Go to: Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows
- Open Engine.ini and add
[SystemSettings]
r.RayTracing=False
If you want better audio and performance add
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.UseLegacyMaintainYFOVViewMatrix=1
[AUDIO]
bEnableBinauralRendering=True
bEnableHRTF=True
[/script/akaudio.aksettings]
bEnableMultiCoreRendering=True
[/script/engine.audiosettings]
au.EnableBinauralAudioForAllSpatialSounds=1
au.DisableBinauralSpatialization=0
bAllowCenterChannel3DPanning=True
bEnableBinauralRendering=True
au.AllowAudioSpatialization=1
au.EnableSoundOcclusion=1
au.SpatializationMethod=2
bEnableHRTF=True
[SystemSettings]
r.psowarmup.warmupmaterials=0
r.RayTracing=False
[Engine.InputSettings]
RawMouseInputEnabled=1
bDisableMouseAcceleration=True
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
bViewAccelerationEnabled=False
but this works for disabling it according to the guy below, another user who replied to that comment.no fucking way they have forced mouse acceleration and smoothing in the year 2025 right?
but this works for disabling it according to the guy below, another user who replied to that comment.
"I want to do this to disable the mouse smoothing but I cannot find this file. In my Oblivion Remastered/Saved folder there is no config folder. Just "Saved Games," which has a steam cloud file in it.
Edit: NEVERMIND. For some reason it was strictly under my "Users," documents folder. NOT the standard My Documents folder. Thank you so much."
Some of those faces look very A.I like but that menu intro is fucking hot!!! You see the cool Imperial protagonist standing inside the flaming Oblivion sign like a badass.Uninstalled. Game looks like shit. An hodgepodge of trash that don't mix together. It's like whoever put this together has zero sense of style and art direction. Nothing is consistent and who the hell made this awful intro?

And then you press the start, and the parchment-style menu doesn't even match with this generic-looking badass knight with fire behind him.

This looks comically better and is consistent with the in-game menus.

Looks far better than this absolute trash.

It's like this game was AI-generated. Looks like generic UE5 soup lmao.

Sorry, game looks like ass. Those guys at Virtuos need to take art classes.
That's literally what I said.I got cancer reading this.
Giving a shit about either side is for full on retards.
Just play good games and ignore the noise.
Maybe my sample size opinion of one person (me) is totally off base. But for me, when it comes to adventure games, I'll always prefer medieval castles and dragon stuff, or a Fallout kind of apocalyptic world over any sci fi space game every time.I am 99.9% sure that a single player Elder Scroll or Fallout game can't be anywhere near as bad and boring as Starfield even if they half ass the game.

Probably same "experts" that were predicting that switch 1 will fail.Glad to see all the concern trolls "worrying" about MS releasing too many games and it "not making sense" to release a game with no marketing have been silenced. We should want more games, especially multiplat releases.
Ok and what does that have to do with MS? They have no reason to move their releases with this weird hope that you might buy some competitors game or something, as this is pretty odd...Sure some people might still play the game later down the line, but they also might not considering there's still tons of other games coming out this year that might interest them more.
A barren release windows is absolutely better for publishers. My tinfoil hat theory for example is that Ubisoft moved AC Shadows because they were scared of getting mogged by KCD2
You don't think strong competition at release can hurt sales of a game?The deep lolz, nothing in KCD2 was stopping me from playing a fucking samurai game, they could have released it literally on the same day and I still would have bought AC Shadows....
Even KCD2, i'm still buying it, merely not now.
If you have to HOPE other games don't release around yours to sell, it means something is already wrong if you think that is the only thing hurting the game or something. People will buy good games, if the game is good, folks will still buy, even later down the line
To a degree sure, not in absolution.You don't think strong competition at release can hurt sales of a game?
To be fair this is something that should not be front and centre until you meet it in the game, there is value in withholding things a bit in the experience. Not everything needs to try to be badass at all times, it could even cheapen the experience pacing wise.Some of those faces look very A.I like but that menu intro is fucking hot!!! Exp33 can be great (it's locked in at this point regardless), but Oblivion coming out of nowhere to shadow drop right on top of them is still very unlucky and, imo, will significantly harm sales. It has taken a lot of the attention away from them at the last minute.To a degree sure, not in absolution.
The studio should be focusing on gaining sales by making a great game, not merely focusing on release when nothing is out.
Nothing can be out, someone can still buy the game and think it sucks hurting the company's image lol
So I think the focus should always be on making a great game regardless, you have no control over when someone else releases a game, but you have control over your own work and you should be your own competition. imho

You can't control when someone else releases a game, but you typically have enough warning to manage your own release so as to avoid stepping out into the road directly in front of a juggernaut.
I don't know a single person who purchased through Steam.
You presumably understand that you don't represent the entire market. Obviously Oblivion releasing makes no difference in the case of someone who wasn't going to buy Exp33 anyway.Understand this, I'm not buying that fucking game, Oblivion NOT releasing was not going to make me buy that fucking game etc lol
