Steam Trading Cards : get trading cards and turn it into stuff

Looks like they completely take the game out of your card section once you reach the cap. I got all 5 TF2 cards (sold them all for $5+) and the TF2 section is no longer in my badges page.

it's basically this

you can either:

keep the cards, trade, get the whole set = get badge = steam profile XP

or

sell the cards = make like $6 out of all the drops per-game you can get now

knowing that you could potentially get more drops, or not.

your pick

edit: I *guess* you could get and trade cards until you have enough to craft the badge and sell the badge/emoticon/background for extra profit, but there's no telling on how much they go for.

Or you go for the long con, hold as many series 1 cards as you can and cash in late game.

I don't care if they reset. I'm not selling anything anymore. I regret selling all my TF2 stuff.

Edit: Who am I kidding. I won't be able to resist adding some extra money to my Steam wallet. I'm so weak.

The number of Beta invites have hovered around 290 this entire time. I 3 when they were 60 cents. Used one sold one for 2.00 and I'm sitting on the last one for curiosity. So I guess when you buy one you don't get the extra invites?

Got an extra Willow ^ ! Only other Don't Starve card I have is Maxwell, would love to trade for a card I don't have :O

edit: gone!

That entirely depends on how Valve distributes keys.

it's a beta, it'll be up eventually.

Not only that but there's an entire group dedicated to sending out beta invites. They will absolutely drop in price once the servers stop getting hammered and everyone gets their's

Weird, are tasks lagging? I just made a trade and it didnt unlock but from my profile it says 22 of 26 tasks completed

It seems the Steam community is not very stable at the moment. It even logged me off at some point (w/ a "no connection" notification).

Put the rest of my Dota 2 cards on the market. If they sell great, if not, no problem. Even if they go up in value, it's no real loss, as they probably have about as equal a chance of losing value, especially if they're still droppable once it gets out of beta and they lose some of their exclusivity. Didn't have foil ones anyway.

It's still not clear if you drops can replenish over time (I would assume so eventually?), but the actual rewards completing a set aren't worth actually paying for. I don't really want cosmetic upgrades to my profile enough to buy them.

However, in the past Valve sent their invites in waves, with long intervals. If that's the case now, the invites might go up in price until the next wave.

there wasnt an official "sign here and you'll get your invites" group then though. The group aspect makes me think there wont be an interval.

curious about this, but see that invites might not be sent out... would love a spare, but understood if not a place to ask... anyone have a pic of the foils? I love IRL foill cards but most digital foils suck -_-

So I think the developers actually get a small cut of the transaction price. Klei, in the case of Don't Starve. Hopefully they let more indie games participate.

They've never really been long intervals. This'll be open by the end of the month I bet.

Well, I meant Dota 2. There was that survey thing and there actually were intervals. I remember trading my extra Dota 2 invite for some games. By the way, I still have my new community beta invite as well as some Super Monday Night Combat beta invites, those ones were completely worthless.

Got an extra TF2 card - Demoman - to trade!

Looking for Spy, Heavy, Pyro, Sniper, or Scout... or any Portal 2 or HL2 cards.
