The future of humanity is balanced on the edge of a blade. Ravaged by strange, powerful creatures, Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of the decimated human race has fled to a Colony in outer space. After travelling from the Colony, EVE arrives on the desolate remains of our planet with a clear-cut mission: to save humankind by reclaiming Earth from the Naytiba – the malevolent force that has devastated it. But as EVE tackles the Naytiba one-by-one, piecing together the mysteries of the past in the ruins of human civilization, she realizes that her mission is far from straightforward. In fact, almost nothing is as it seems…

I haven't played much yet (made it past the first boss) but performance and image quality is great (everything maxed) and the game feels super responsive. Parrying is so damn satisfying and the story intrigues me. Looking forward to playing it through the weekend :D

The demo runs great on pc. I don't plan on restarting my playthrough though. I'm almost done on PS5. By the time I want to do a second play through there should be some mods out.

Resetera are having an absolute meltdown over this game's success on PC.

Very strange place, that. Very odd people, who really need to get a reality check.

How long is the game if you try to do everything? I'm considering picking it up for the weekend.

Not to defend them, but are they? I've seen two threads on there where most of the users are actually celebrating it's successs.

Which thread specifically? Just looked at the OT they have over there and it's very positive from what I've seen.

If someone is not sold yet because "its'a dress up game".
It is not.
It's a legit game that was advertised without any indication of costumes to come.
Watch these 2 trailers to see what they were aiming for and they 100000% delivered. AND THEN THE COSTUMES were revealed to be a thing like 1 month before ps5 release !!!!!!!!!!!!! and I was already hyped without this info!

I also recommend playing with Korean VO
the trailer that started the hype for me

especially this 2nd trailer. it is incredible

Still waiting on a price drop on psn. I loved the demo but unless its something I am a huge fan of like Silent hill, Kingdom Come or Baldurs Gate, I am not buying.
For $50 I would of bought on day 1. For $60 it would of been a toss up, but more likely.

There is also the fact that my wife may be asking questions why i am dressing a hot chick half naked. (maybe i should get on pc, lol)

I'll get the game eventually, but my backlog is huge, I can be smart and wait. Sony has been very horrible with pricing this gen. God of war was half off 1 year past launch and then $19.99. They won't lower below 39.99 after 5 years for some games. It's ridiculous (and that's a temp sale price not a price drop, looking at you Ragnarök).

I may have misunderstood the whole "gooners" thing? Is that an insult? Is it calling people who play the game pervs..?

The thread itself has now been locked:

What's up with that Hints option in the gameplay menu, does the game have puzzles?

Also, how's the japanese VA? I've never watched anything in korean and was thinking about playing this in japanese. Even if I barely understand a thing at least it'll sound more familiar.

I'm playing it on my secondary PC (4070 Ti / 1080p / DLAA) and it runs at 200-300 FPS maxed out with frame gen on. Pretty good performance overall. The game is not a looker, it has good character models but the environments feel basic (on a technical level).

The gamepad controls are fully customizable.

It looks like an extremely solid port overall.

I tried English and I didn't like it, the delivery feels really flat in general. I tried Korean and I can't get a feel for it, most likely because I'm not used to it, I never played or watched anything in Korean. So I went with Japanese and it feels fine for now. I might try to go back to Korean since it should be the intended experience.

Eve is cute. But Tachy is cuter.

By the way, just enabled the autoloot options in the menu. Don't know why it isn't the default.

Being waiting for PC version will jump in once I finish FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.
Looking forward to trying many mods.

Game sure gives a lot of Nier: Automata vibes.

Oh and that pose to go down a ladder... Damn! :goog_relieved:

Who even though its a fucking dress up game? 🤣
Well it did have about "80" outfits before the Nier Automata DLC (4 outfits), Nikke DLC (5 outfits) and the new update today (25 new outfits there)
Bringing the total outfits to get 114.. And I don't think it'll stop anytime soon. Oh forgot Tachyon DLC (1 outfit) -> 115 total outfits...

Good god are they mad? 🤣🤣 Still, if people watch gameplay trailers they'll surely see it isn't.

That's just the weebs of Korea taking advantage of the hottie they made. Proud of them :messenger_sunglasses:

Yeah, exactly. Some people's obsession with resetera isn't healthy. You have like two or three bad comments and it's "ResetEra!!!", ignoring that like 80% if not more are just chatting about the game they're really playing and enjoying.

Weird thing, the game updated it's SDK that it uses to connect to PSN and instead of deleting the old one, it just sent it to the recycle bin. Never saw a game do anything like that lol.

PSA: since this is a Unreal Engine game, UEVR (Nightly build) works with little issue, but you might have to turn down some settings (depending on your rig).

But yeah, seeing Eve in VR...
