Nova edition seems like the sweet spot at $50. $20 more on top of that for the eBook and and behind the scenes book seems like a bit much.
Yeah, I think it's the best value there too.

Also, Looks like they listened to my dlc/pre-order race suggestion. one of them is called "Shadowy Anthropoid" and I suggested something similair to the Shadows from Babylon 5 on their forum

That's not an anthropoid though. Humans (and the rest of the simians) are anthropoids.

Arthropoid is anythining like these guys:

Those are Arthropods, I think the Shadowy Anthropoids are supposed to be humanoids (or apelike).
Nah, -oid is different - it implies they resemble arthropods, but aren't actually them, which would be correct. -ian is arguably incorrect though (but also arguably acceptable).
Humanoids in the game fall under the Mamalian class. They're calling Arthropods Arthropoids for some reason... Probably a spelling error.

Someone should probably point it out to them.

For people that have been following this, how accessible is this game?
I like space opera and empire management but I couldn't cope with Hearts of Iron (I tried the original and haven't looked at more recent versions) because it was way too much tedious micromanagement to get anything done.
The Nova edition doesn't seem remotely worth the cost.
Nova edition it is. Though I am dumb enough to be tempted by the special paradox forum icon on the galaxy edition...
Not a fan of lacking a species behind a pre-order (Or subsequent paid launch DLC)... Or am I misunderstanding.
Galaxy edition for me, i'm curious about that ebook and a massive fanboy![]()
Well, these are purely cosmetic portrait sets. It's not like they've locked a race with their own mechanics behind pre-order DLC a la Total War.
The way it works is that races in any particular game are randomly generated. Everythign that makes up a particular race, in terms of game mechanics, their ethos, their AI personalities, their politicla leanings, etc is part of the game proper, and is randomly assigned. The portraits, are also randomly assigned, and of course add a lot fo flavor.
I'm torn between the Normal edition and Nova.
Currently I'm leaning towards Nova because... Spider race will be perfect in my Extermina....Unification of the galaxy.
I am going to stay strong and wait till post release. I have some suspicion on bugs (and not talking about spiders) with Paradox games (own every single one, every single one was buggy on release).
Edit: It's in GMG and you can use 20% off APR20 code. Hmm.....
