This is a weird series. Basically OKC has two megastars, but they are coached by a buffoon, so they rarely play a solid 48 minutes and have to rely on one of the superstars to go crazy and just take over the game. That's more likely to happen at their home court. Meanwhile GS is a little banged up and hasn't played to regular season standards. Curry might be on/off depending how his knee is feeling at gametime.
Still funny that this is the first so called "test" in two years for GS. It used to be you had to fight and claw to make it out of the West, no more. Last year they played nobody and Cavs were hurt. And now Cavs (again) walk straight into the Finals against three JV teams.
Just looked for reference and took the expansion year and the year after that: In 95-96, the East 8th seed had Tim Hardaway and Alonzo Mourning. In 96-97 the 8th seed had Juwan Howard, Chris Webber and Rod Strickland. Transfer either of those teams to today, I have hard time believing they'd be the 8th seed in the current East. Such an incredible amount of bad and mediocre teams (and players).
