Watched the bomb before work, loved it, had the perfect mix of fucked up and light heartedness.

Here come some thoughts!
-Here's a funny thought: When Steven and Greg enter the animation studio there is a greg reference sheet, somewhere in Real Life Korea there was a Reference Sheet for that Reference Sheet.
-Adventures in light distortion goes from "funny break" to "shit got heavy" way too fast.
-Even in kid friendly sanitized form, the human enclosure was incredibly fucked up, i wonder how many kids will pick up the level of darkness on the concept. I liked how the whole "Choosening" made for an interesting dynamic and the way the humans didn't undertsnad the concept of autonomy let them get away with that guy wanting to get into greg's pants and all out unrestricted liberated sexuality.
-Holy shit, the Amethysts and Jaspers were the best new characters introduced in this bomb, i hope they come back.
-Loved the character development of the diamonds, showing that Blue is merciful and still grieving for pink was nice, even tho Ruby and Sapphire hold that she's not that good, it's cool to see she has even a shred of mercy, while Yellow was show still as merciless as ever, but we got to see that she does have emotions.
-The most interesting part was Pink, which showed that she had something of a love for organic life like Rose did, which means that Rose probably was not unique on loving and caring for life, it's possible that it was a trait learned from Pink and shared by all rose quartz, but THE Rose just went like "if we really love life, we must set the Earth Free", it's no wonder Yellow wants to destroy the Rose Quartzes, they prolly empathize with the Crystal Gems.
-Finally, it's kinda fucked up that in the end, Steven and the gems were just satisfied with getting Greg and there was ZERO talks of liberating the Humans, Amethysts, Jaspers and Rose Quartzes. It's kinda....odd for Steven to not wanting to rescue everyone.
-Oh yah, also it seems like the Diamonds are NOT aware that the Cluster has been appeased, which gives the CG a tactical advantage since the Diamonds seem to think they just need to wait for it.

The way the episode immediately shifted from
"the gems' bodies are acting all wacky" to "the gems are apparently poofed and Steven gets reduced to a sobbing, helpless mess calling out for his dad like a little kid" was some of the scariest stuff the show has ever done.

with blue diamond and yellow diamonds ship between the zoo was gorgeous one of my favorite shots in the show. Awesome imagery to display their differences in stance. Forceful vs embrace. Not that blue diamon is any better just different
I mean, as just a general statement of purpose, we all already deduced that, so you were not spoiled.

Blue Diamond (Pearl) being unable to move on from her loved one's death while Yellow Diamond (Greg) had moved on but still kept the pain of her loss in her heart. Pearl deciding to move on in Mr. Greg could also potentially be a very bad sign that Blue Diamond is back on board with YD's plans.

Yea i was on the edge of my seat during that scene and its a shame all the episodes got leaked since i would be eagerly awaiting these episodes as the week went on.
And it doesn't seem like its done yet since they will be heading to Earth soon and the shattering moment still haven't been explained yet. Plus that room full of Rose Quartzes has the potential to be really fucked up (imagine Yellow Diamond using them for her army).

I don't know if I'm feeling Blue's non-hooded design but I do really like her character and Blue Pearl's design is awesome.
It really emphasizes how top of the line our Jasper is when you see what a standard Jasper/Amethyst looks like. They're big and tough, but there's something about the way that our Jasper is drawn that makes her look significantly more brutal.
It was interesting seeing Yellow break down momentarily. It seems like she's the big sister in the diamond relationship while Blue is the little sister and Pink was the middle sister. She chose to distance herself in a bid to forget while Blue does everything that she can to preserve her memory. Also I guess she assumed that Peridot shattered when the communication device self destructed because she doesn't seem concerned with Peridot having insulted her to her face. Explains why the Rubies weren't really concerned with her when they found her on Earth. They were probably like "oh you're alive. Then you might know where Jasper is"
I don't think Yellow's planning on using the Quartz in Pink's room. I think she wants to placate Blue by mass enslaving humanity so Blue will allow her to shatter them. Steven will probably end up finding a way to reverse Gem corruption (either on his own or with the help of another Quartz' healing powers) and the combined forces of the Quartz and newly-revived Gems will assist the Crystal Gems in defending Earth from a new Homeworld invasion.
I think we're also gonna get a Lapis/Peridot and Connie episode detailing what happened on Earth while the Crystal Gems were out.

Yeah I felt that way too
The Souls series is a big fan of that "mournful woman in shroud" character design. They've used it for several firekeepers and priestesses. And pretty much every one of those characters speaks with the same tone of voice that she does.

Biggest question I want answered from the leak:
Why does Steven cry Blue Diamond's tears?
Side effect of his dream powers.
To further speculate:
Steven has shown to be able to communicate with other people with his dream powers, he also has shown to be able to control other people with his powers, namely the watermellons and lars, but what if this power is a two way street? Steven was able to get into the mind of unsuspecting people and control weak willed creatures (watermellons) and vulnerable people (Lars), so what if, as a side effect, strong willed people can instead get into Steven's mind? A diamond probably is too powerful to control, so instead, due to her strong will Blue caused steven to cry as a sort of low level accidental mind control.
For that to work, wouldn't it require to
Have steven cry independently from Blue diamond? He was literally cryin like her, if Pink was Rose, Steven's tear would have to be independent from Blue diamond's as to convey that it was Rose crying.

As usual, "villains" get the best songs, and a decent chunk of screen time too. It's also nice to see another side of Yellow diamond, to show her anger against the Earth is justified in a way.
Too bad we didn't get to see White diamond, but hopefully she'll appear in the next bomb, or whenever CN screws up again.
Damn, Greg nearly got himself a very diverse harem hahaha.
The second episode pretty much felt like filler, but the goofy moments were nice. Did the tean pick up the Rubies on their way back?
Was kinda hoping for more answers about Pink Diamond. Regardless though, it was a great lore bomb.
