At first, we were just happy to see the big-screen version of this bizarrely funny TV show. Now, with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Ian Holm on board and David Letterman producing, we're really, really excited. Really.

This comedy, based on the darkly comic TV series, focuses on Jerri Blank, a frumpy and unattractive 47-year-old woman who, after living on the streets as a hooker and a junkie and spending time in prison, decides to finish high school.

Yay! Whenever I catch it on Comedy Central it's hilarious to degrees previously unimagined. I wonder how wide it's release will be though.

Kick ass, excellent casting. I can't wait to see Broderick in this. Amy Sedaris is hilarous and Strangers With Candy is probably Comedy Central's second funniest original series ever after Upright Citizens Brigade.
