Streamers, influencers, and Yourube channels need to stop with annotations and other static images

As many know, owning an OLED you make sure to not keep static images on for too long to reduce risk of burn in. However a lot of streamers have static images in their streams, YouTube channels have annotations and other logos baked into their videos etc (at least you can turn off the annotations).

It’s just a concern for OLED users

I have a very weak burn-in of the Neogaf burger menu button on my phone.

You understand panels have micro pixel switching to prevent burn-in?

I have heard OLEDs no longer get burn in. I even have two OLEDs that I have owned for almost 2 months now and no burn in on either of them. We're good OP. 😜

Television makers need to make sure their displays are capable of displaying static images without destroying themselves, seems like a pretty basic functionality.

Just don't watch the same thing for hours on end. Unless you have a shitty TV they have features to help with burn-in and they work particularly well as long as you switch it up after a few hours.

op is the kind of dude who has the oled screen brightness set to 100% all the time.

I'm pretty sure that the calibration guys say that's what you're supposed to do. I used to know one of those HDTV Test guys and that's what he told me to do when I got a new TV.

I have however turned it down as per the gif.
