For people using wifi with routers far away form their PS4, use this.

I've been using it for months and its amazing. I also recommend the two port if you have a laptop or another console as well.

Oof, played my first laggy match of this beta phase; it was against a Ken player. Memories of SF4. Players should absolutely play with LAN if they have the ability to.

You drop the goddamn mic and avoid playing the sudden death game.

Probably the best strategy, but the prospect of a sudden death game was so fun when it was happening.

You could do that in SF4 also.

Most probably aren't familiar with that for SFIV due to the heavier reliance upon Ultras and FADCs into Ultras (since you technically couldn't cancel directly into Ultras, aside from like Ibuki's Jump Cancel chain) and heavy EX special use too. Most folks rarely used super moves in IV it seemed.

Heh, it's pretty good when both players in an R. Mika mirror activate their V-Skill at the same time. You're kind of not sure what to do at that point.
It like dive kick 1st on to move loses

I was trying to dash out of mika's vskill like it was an FA I think they should implement that for her

I bought the game, entered code, didn't get it to work first time, then entered another code that I got from a giveaway, it removed my preorder and the code didn't work (said it was already in use???), then I preordered the game AGAIN, as my first preorder didn't even show up on my billing statement...and now I don't get a code?

Either I'm schizophrenic or Capcom completely fucked me.

I try to challenge people to a sudden death game every time I get a Mika mirror match lol

They always chicken out halfway through.

i hope the game doesnt have these ingame updates once its out.
for some reason i havent been able to download the 1.05 patch at all.
it fails as soon as it starts.
ive even redownloaded the entire beta but nothing,.

don't redownload the game, the ingame downloader doesn't reset even when you get that error
just continue from main menu again, keep doing until you get 100%

You have no idea where on Earth that person is playing from. Flags mean nothing.

Don't blame everything on "wireless". It could just as easily be someone on another continent.

I didn't blame the lag on wireless, I'm saying that people playing on wireless should play wired if they can. That match's latency could have very well been caused by physical distance.

Really starting to get the hang of swapping between Vega's stances during matches. It's actually more important than I thought. There's different mixups you can do depending on which stance you're in(although generally mixups are better in claw-off mode), and if you don't swap enough your opponent can tell what you're going to do.

Rolling Crystal Flash on hit being the perfect spacing and advantage to go for a command grab is so good.

I need to test the frame data and properties of some moves next time I get on.

Yeah I got so much better doing that. Switching to claw off after hp into command grab is also great.

yeah but half the time it fails even before i can select a character,,,
and i doubt its downloading while the notification about 1.05 is popped up.
since thats literally the only time its stable...
owell , ill try again.
for the record im on a 50mbps wired connection

Just realized I posted in the wrong thread but here's screenshots and a video of the PC version from the SF reddit.

Looks more crisp (I don't know if it's due to better AA or higher res) and it's got the MOTION BLUR from the trailers. No extra background details from what I can discern, unfortunately, but there is less shimmering/jaggies on far objects. Hopefully they add higher detail/model options for background objects/characters somewhere down the line.

They are definitely trying to accommodate low-end machines with that resolution scaler, though.

That texture work is amazing.

It really shows how bad the AF is on the PS4 if anything.

Wait, are there less characters in the PC beta?
