Im pretty satified with the amount of matches I got so far. Originally I thought I'd be fighting Ken most of the time, but ended up getting matched against Necalli more than anyone else. Also Ken's pretty fun to play as too, but I like Ryu's normals much more than his.

Most of Mika's normal hit as they look, and recover fantastically. Do her crouching LK against someone in neutral; it's attack box actually seems to extend longer than her foot.

I really hope she doesn't get nerfed into the ground. I love how solid and satisfying everything she has is. Move people up to this feel, don't nerf it all away!

Necalli's Stronger normal seem solid. I am surprised with how crappy his standing medium kick is. Great when in close, but meh from any range. It's great once up close though, and his crouching mediums more than make up for it.

Ken's normals feel great. The power of Crouching HP crush counters! It's funny trading with DPs and actually getting a large advantage. I'm totally in love with the crush counter system, ha. More fun than Focus attacks ever where. Reminds me of counter wire from games that need not be named. I kinda find his EX fireball kinda... why... but otherwise, I love the updated moveset.

Can't wait to try out Rashid and KaaaRIN. Her and Mika are fighting hard for main status right now... and we still have 2 more initial roster characters to go...

With how fast dashes are, you can basically avoid most jump ins just by doing forward dashes. It looks real slick when done correctly. Still trying to figure out what works well for nacalli, but he's a lot of fun.

I only played Necalli for like 10 matches, but I never felt like i had a good gameplan of what to do to get in with him.

Necalli has even shorter range than the shotos, even in his enhanced state

So? He's a different character. Actually, if we're going by Capcom's point system, Mika is the overall weakest on the roster so far. So it may be that she's just easy to learn, where some of the others (Necalli) have a lot more depth.

I think R. Mika is hard to classify in terms of where she stands in terms of being the weakest character. Doesn't really matter if you're the weakest character when you can talk on the mic for a few seconds and then do a throw that does practically 50% damage.

This. My point was only that certain characters will probably end up looking a lot stronger when people really figure them out.

That kind of stuff always has been BS. You can look at something like the Marvel Rating system being applied to UMVC3 and you know a lot of that stuff isn't true and has no bearing on the strength of the character in game. Giving a character ratings on their stats will never tell you how good a character is, because it doesn't even really tell you what their tools are.

Looking at PC version screenshots, it doesn't seem to have that weird looking shadow problem that console version has...

Can I have an example of this? I haven't seen it.

I'm okay with how the PC version looks. I know it'll run well on my rig, since people with weaker hardware aren't having issues. I was worried it could've been half-assed, or not look even the slightest bit improved from all the console footage I've seen. Can't wait to try Rashid out and go full rushdown.

I really like Necalli. I got to play a match this morning, but his move set feels great. His Valiant Rebellion is my favorite.

You can jump in into dp or dk, vr, dp, vp, and then into his charge move. I was shocked he even has a dive kick. I won the match against R. Mika with an EX Raging Light that chipped them out.

I'm not quite sure how to utilize his VR stomps, but man it felt refreshing. I didn't feel like I needed a shoto character to make up for not knowing the setups. I also like his standing Fierce. His standing fierce makes him stand out to me. Lots of ways to keep someone pressured in the corner.

I got to play as everyone else in the first beta, but I tried out Ken in practice mode for a while and then Necalli. I wasn't sure if I was going to like him. I hope he doesn't turn into SFIV's Ken online. It makes me wonder how well Laura is going to play.

Necalli's stomps (VR) remind me of Evil Ryu and various other games where there's that quick trap (quick stun) afterwards. It feels good to me.
Seems unlikely.
I caught them. They were jumping in after they threw me. I was hyped.

R. Mika players do well with throws and her huge throw takes a lot of damage. I noticed they kept wanting to jump in and Necalli can take them.

I don't know if chip is right or not. I won the match. Normally there is chip damage.

He's fast, so it was easy to catch possible setups or even punishments. I could do a roundhouse and it felt like I could catch them.

It's like with any other SF. If they have maybe 2% health left, chip damage from EX is your best friend if they're just gonna jump in or block.

Ken can connect his d + short, d+ fierce, into roundhouse hurricane kick. I can't get d + short and jab into down + fierce to work. I didn't really get to do a lot with Ken.

I think he's talking about not being able to die from chip in V, unless it's from a Critical Art.

I didn't even pay attention. I booted it up and went right into practice mode. I'm so use to chip damage though and I don't know the technicalities of SFV yet.

The last beta was just linking command combos and critical hits were random.

I'd go into training mode and set it, but it was a toss up in an actual match. I didn't even pay attention. All I knew is that Ryu could do a 2nd hit if it was in air.

Edit: Ken's V-Skill is like a FADC in a way?

So as a Guy player coming from USF4, which character would be the closest to his playstyle?

Until his inevitable DLC, of course.

Necalli probably... does well in the close fight, lots of frame traps.

No PC data mining news? Do you know if someone is checking it?

The pre-load files are still encrypted until the beta goes live tomorrow morning- the videos and pics you've seen from the PC version are from keys given to the press that bypass pre-load.
