If I get the Fighting Commander 4 controller, will I need to have a Dual Shock 4 connected?

Nope, this is a ps4 pad you can control menus with like a normal Ds4.

Also best OT ever?

Best OT ever...

No, both models of Fighting Commander work on the get go on PS4.

Only this one is X-Input for PC Though :

We should REALLY add those to the OT, unless we got some exclusive deal with Madcatz I know nothing about, of course.

Ah ok, that makes more sense. Where is the best place to find the frame data for SF? Also, whats the best way to go about learning how to implement it in your game?

It should be up on EventHubs or Shoryuken.

V-Frames is a cellphone app that has the info too. I'm not sure if it's updated for the release version yet though.

Not talking about the backgrounds... a lot of people in the Steam forums have the same issue as I do and Capcom has never responded. To elaborate on the problem once again, the game runs at 60fps for like 1 minute and then it'll gradually dip to 30fps and under. Even when I'm idle in the menu, the frame rate will drop for no reason. No matter what settings I choose, even at windowed 720p, same issue occurs.

I have a i7-4790K/970 w/16gb RAM so my PC isn't the problem. I can run every other game at 1080p or even 1440p just fine.

I really hope they were just running a stress test and that was the reason why I was experiencing the frame drops. Anyway, expecting the worst come Tuesday.

I had the exact same problem during last 2 betas and what fixed it for me was to disable the windows 8 compatibily mode that was set on the game .exe. (I migrated to windows 10)

Good to know thanks. I'm just slightly worried about the complaints, that the dpad will eventually get looser, and that one might have to press it harder after a few hours of play.

I own one but haven't used it enough I guess to make any guesses as to how long it holds up with regular use. Seems like a really solid pad though.

Oh man, what a cool pad... this is PS4 only, right?

I'm and old school Street Fighter II player, but I have next to zero arcade experience. I was a SNES guy when the game came out and to this day can't get used to stick controllers for fighting games. Guys, is there any reasonably priced fighting pad for PC you would recommend?

Whoa... woke up to an awesome OT!

Can't believe it's almost here and we're finally moving on from IV. I'm hype, y'all!

It's the official thread so it only has the official products. Honestly though the Hori HRAP4 is a better value than the Madcatz unless you know you want full Sanwa, and the Hori pads seem to be far better and much cheaper. If OP added them to the OP it would likely save people a lot of money.

Whats wrong with the madcatz ones?

I'm not sure what the exact issue is, general reception for them seems to be poor though. I think even Low Tier God redid his review and bashed it after his initial perfect score.

Awesome OT!

It's almost here, I'm so excited! Not only to really delve myself in Street Fighter for the first time, but also all the SFV tournaments this year. CPT is going to be wild.

I'm going to spend a lot of time with Rashid.

I too primarily came up with II on the SNES but do have limited arcade experience. I can play stick, but am currently pad using the FC4. The Hori Fighting Commander (non rotating dpad) can be recognized by PC without any third party software if that's what you're looking for. Other than that, there's a million knockoff SNES style controllers for PC but don't know if any of them are of sufficient quality. There are also clones of Saturn/Genesis pads if you're looking for something with six face buttons, but again I have no idea if they're worth the money.

Sorry guys I'm confused.

Is this coming out earlier in EU now? It's coming out at midnight tomorrow right?

That seems later to me as opposed to 6pm tomorrow when steam updates.

I feel like I'm getting this wrong though since everyone is celebrating...

EDIT: Hmmmm It's midnight tonight isn't it? I'm being slow aren't I?

PS4 apparently unlocks in 9mins for me.

You can use that one on PC if you like it.

Getting a new USB 3.0 hub for my capture device in the mail today. Hopefully it works, so I can start streaming V a bunch.

What capture device do you have?

Avermedia Live Gamer Extreme. Seemed to have the best features such as mic in and aux in.

Good to know, thanks. I hope you can get some streaming up and running. :)

Still can't decide on the Fighting Commander or Fighting Commander 4, and I'm ready to hit the "buy" button on whatever.

Hey does Steam let you return games if they don't run well? I have an A10-7800k which appears to below minimum but not by a lot and can run SFIV like butter. Also a GTX 570 which would be appropriate but not awesome. I'd prefer to get it over PS4 because I have a 360 stick which works on PC.

You can get a refund if you have played it for less than 2 hours, and you need to do it before 2 weeks have passed I think.

Ok, fair enough but it's a bit strange for a community thread. The Hori FG, for its quality, is literally half the price of the Madcatz, so people should know.

Whatever.

That model is not X-Input though. The smaller one is.

Oh, I was joking about it being for the official stuff. If there's going to a be a section on it, it should have the Hori stuff up IMO. They are generally a better value.

Isn't that the HORI Fighting Commander 4? I pulled it up on Amazon and it said it worked on PC.

Yes, it works on PC, but it's D-Input, so it's not currently recognized natively by SFV (and many other games).

Capcom said a patch will add D-input compatibility later.

Do you know if x360ce adds problematic input lag? That's my plan until they patch in d-input.
I've used it with lots of games in the past but never anything as precise as Street Fighter.

Thanks! If I can get the game running on my notebook, I'll consider buying the Hori FC4.

I thought that only happened if you used the d-pad rotation feature. Crap, I hope this thing doesn't die on me. I didn't even realize there was another hori pad without this "feature"

just bought one of these Venom ps3/ps4/pc sticks, reviews seem good and its easily modeable if I choose to go that route. Also its much cheaper than a madcatz one, and I probably cant even tell the difference >_>

Hopefully it works fine on PC (its D-input as usual so ill have to use joy2key or something), Ill know for sure tomorow I guess (if amazon's 1 day delivery is real, which Im doubting it is because it was shockingly cheap lol)

I'm sorry, I have no idea, The only time I tried it on PC was for KoFXIII, but the game recognized it (on PS3 mode).

Where's the cheapest place to buy the PC version?
I think it's GMG with the 25% code: GREENM-ANGAME-25PFEB.

I think the primary reason I would go for the FC4 instead of the Fighting Commander would be the longer left handle.

I entered bob my costume code from Amazon fr yet they don't show Ingame or in my download list. They're locked until official releaSe ?

And which controller to buy on Amazon ? I don't like arcade stick (ps4)

One I receive my other FG, I will open the FG4 and try the glue thing, will let you know how that goes.
