I'm on vacation in Florida until early Thursday and won't get a chance to play until then. Double dipped on PS4 & Steam, digital. Can't wait. Only problem is I have a TON of shit to do for work, deadline's next Monday. So this weekend will be a battle of time.

just bought one of these Venom ps3/ps4/pc sticks, reviews seem good and its easily modeable if I choose to go that route. Also its much cheaper than a madcatz one, and I probably cant even tell the difference >_>

Hopefully it works fine on PC (its D-input as usual so ill have to use joy2key or something), Ill know for sure tomorow I guess (if amazon's 1 day delivery is real, which Im doubting it is because it was shockingly cheap lol)

If you put in Sanwa parts it will basically be the same as a stock TE from a mechanical standpoint. If you're comfortable with the size it will be just as good.

I entered bob my costume code from Amazon fr yet they don't show Ingame or in my download list. They're locked until official releaSe ?

And which controller to buy on Amazon ? I don't like arcade stick (ps4)

One of the Fighting Commander's. They seem to be some of the best and most popular.

I think the primary reason I would go for the FC4 instead of the Fighting Commander would be the longer left handle.

Between that and the feel of the face buttons it's literally the only pad I've ever felt comfortable playing claw on. It's surprisingly comfortable to use it traditionally as well, but switching back and forth dependent on character has been an awesome asset. (i.e. I played Birdie mostly traditional and Chun mostly claw) It's the one reason why I really want to compare with the Fighting Commander but am hesitant to do so.

Top tier OP, man midnight can't come soon enough.

It's likely costumes won't show up until a store update. I wouldn't stress over it.

Great OT, a labor of love!!!

Cancelled my Amazon preorder since I woke up this morning and it still hasn't shipped. Preloading right now in preparation for tonight!!! Excited!

This one ? Working good on ps4? Like a native controller ?

sweet. those are easy to get?

The release time for SF5 has been moved up on PC by 12 hours. So 12am EST/9pm PST

still says 1 day 5 hours for me, but I assume thats just steam being steam

GAF hype gets me every time.

Was not sure whether to buy the game or not (I'm super casual and will hardly ever get anywhere in online ranks), now here I am buying a Hori fightpad too.

So who all is getting this for pc vs ps4. The problem with pc is that if you plan to play at any tournaments they will all be ps4 based. I like many others have a ps3 or x360 stick. Yeah they work on pc but not ps4 without a converter or dual shock connected.

I think folks playing on pc with a ps3 or x360 stick will run into problems at tournaments

What do you all think.

Well I just picked the game up. Decided to give it a go with the pad until I can get a stick. Probably in the summer.

Does the fighting commander have something to account for the touch pad in the odd case that a game uses it for something? Not expecting it in fighters, but maybe in a platformer.

Whats the difference between the Fighting Commander 4 and the one without that odd angle on the left?

This one:

Seems better than this one:

Ergonomically anyway.

Other than ergonomics, the first one allows for PC Xinput naturally. And:

The new Fighting Commander doesn't have the rotating dpad.

Unfotunately no.

Honestly, I think I would hold the Fighting Commander/4 like a traditional Dual Shock. I primarily want the R2/L2 buttons as face buttons. I'm not sure I'm gonna rotate the dpad, I don't think so actually.

Other than ergonomics, the first one allows for PC Xinput naturally. It should still have the rotating Dpad and Shoulder buttons switch, but I'm not sure on that.

I already kinda disliked Rashid's style, playing and fighting against in the beta. After watching J Wong rush down Floe's Vega last night, it's cemented. I can't stand him. He's fucking Fuerte all over again. Him and Fang look to be the cream of the shit crop to fight against. There's always a couple in the roster, at least.

Wbacon or whatever that guys name is on the steam forum said to not pay attention to the steam count-down and that Valve will update it eventually.

his name is good guy capcom

I am not a fan of Rashid, but I think he is still considerably more bearable than Fuerte.

Or perhaps I've blocked all those memories of Fuerte.

I actually prefer the size of the Venom compared to the TE.

Even better then. I've been primarily recommending the HRAP, but the Venom seems like a good value as well.

It doesn't seem like it's available in my country though and I don't have one. The only other issues are you pretty much have to swap the parts out where the Madcatz and Hori have solid parts and they have touchpads and the Venom doesn't (I forgot to mention this in an earlier post).

I was actually going to ask this, if it was smaller (it looks smaller). TE's size was one of my few complaints, always felt unconfortable on my lap. You guys are leaving me hopeful for that Venom now. Do you know if the buttons go "CLACK CLACK" like the TE ones do (and like every fucking steam on every stream do)? Im kinda used to that sound now lol

No touch pad but it does let you assign L3 and R3 to the left shoulder buttons. If the game lets you assign buttons freely that might be helpful if you need more inputs.

If your concern is controlling a mouse cursor then you're out of luck unfortunately.
