At times for sure, but after noticing he'd catch me every time, I started just trying different distance scissor kicks to test how safe I could be, no buttons after the attack. Only clipping him on block would seem safe.

The season pass gets you 6 DLC characters as well as a premium costume for each of those 6 characters.
If bought separately, the DLC characters cost 6$ USD each and the premium costumes cost 4$ each and the total amounts to 60$.
The characters can be bought for 100,000 FM each but the only way to get the premium costumes is to pay for them.
Getting the season pass is the best deal since earning enough fight money for all 6 characters is a big ask, even with how much fight money you get for doing the single player.
Doing story mode alone will net you enough for 1 character though.

The seasons pass unlocks the 6 next characters, plus 1 "premium" costume for each. You can also unlock the characters using fight money, so this is mostly interesting if you want to use your FM for other things (what I do not know yet), or if you don't want to have to collect the FM in the first place.

Cheers. I'm getting it myself, though I'm waiting for the first DLC character, Alex, to drop in March first.
Might as well wait and see how difficult the daily challenges are and the amount of fight money they reward, as well as how good the premium alt costumes look. Though you would expect them to look as good as the pre order ones... especially since they jacked the price up bad compared to last gen....
Season Pass aint running nowhere, and if you're on PC GMG will always have that 20% discount code..

Yeah it's a joke we're letting Capcom get away with this, especially considering alt costumes were $1 in SFxTK and costume packs of 5 characters were like $6 for SFIV.
If you're one of those guys who wants all these costumes you're going to buy the season pass (so all your fight money goes to Fight Money unlock costumes like the story ones) as well as the alts for the starting 16.
$60 + $30 + $64 for season 1.
Let say season 2 is 8 characters and the season pass is $40.
$40 + $88
Again 8 for season 3
$40 + $120
And imagine how much fun you'll have in survival mode, especially if Capcom release lower tier fight money costumes every season along with the premium ones.

I've done:
Story mode cleared with all characters.
Survival easy cleared with all characters.
Survival normal with all characters.
Some ranked matches.
Currently sitting at 417,850 fight money, with 26 hours on the clock according to Steam.
I don't plan on doing survival hard and hell with all characters though, so I'm hoping I can earn another 200k fight money by doing the stuff in the march update and completing that story mode they'll add in June. That would take care of all the season 1 characters, but there's also 1 or 2 alt story costumes I wanted to have. Although, as new characters get released, maybe they'll also get entries in existing story mode and survival so that I can earn fight money off of them too.

Same. But I also only did ranked for 3 days, ever, just this week and stopped entirely. Long sessions of Battle Lounge is where it's at. Best way to get practice and learn and get really familiar with the roster.

Welp, it's all downhill from here. SFV has peaked.
Having some fun ranked matches today, very well matched opponents at last. Have been able to win with solid fundamentals so far... Fought a very good Laura but managed to keep her at bay with defense. At the last round the opponent was getting used to my more defensive and footsie game and I decided to apply some good rushdown Chun. Managed to get into his mind and he made severalll mistakes that cost him the game. Lesson? Switch up play styles mid round

Ever since my tournament experience on Friday I have accepted that Ryu is my one and true main. Ever since I've incorporated his parry into my normal game plan I've been having much better results. I've FINALLY reached Ultra Bronze.
Karin is still my main mistress but I need that black dress before I can touch her again. A friend of mine should be hooking me up with a Hobo Ryu today too so that should totally improve my game by 100%

You can punish MK or LK scissors with lp xx legs.
Significantly though, even HK scissors gives you frame advantage and you can take advantage of that. He is -2 on block so you can press buttons, and you will be safe to do so. If he presses anything you will stuff it and you can go into a large damage counter hit BNB, if he doesn't press anything you can use the momentum to go for a throw, frametrap or overhead.

I would finally stop skipping the intros just to see what people did choose. Could be hilarious in so many ways.
