Was wondering how long it would take to do that new mission.
I still don't know if my opponent helped me, start of the match, I jump a lot to send the message lol, he seems to follow to stay close to me but nothing too frequent then second round he jumped four consecutive times to be met with chun li lk. Thanks anyway

If you see a chun in front of you do a jump instantly go for something like cr lp. If I do iall, you knock me out, if I jump over you then you'll recover enough in time to punish the jump with a dp. If they're completely in front of you and jumping, though, they'll likely go for headstomp so just block high if you expect the jump.

As for the overhead, just mash cr lp if you think I'm going for it or react to the startup. It's a super super slow start and doesn't become active until it's almost on the ground.

Yeah, pretty much all characters cLP or cMP will blow up air legs. Needs a buff

Am I the only one who want a fighting style like MKX? I would like to see Alpha Ryu and combo jab into fireball again. It could also be used as an excuse to give Gief his green hand again.

Oh wow so you can combo off it on counter hit? That's kind of awesome. Can the other versions do that?

Edit : Oh shit c.mp off a regular hit! No wonder it's got disadvantages. Shit could be very useful but will require excellent spacing
It's actually stupid easy to in practice to space either tackle to link jab or safe on block.

On knockdown I found easy stuff for meaty tackles but it's obvious so mainly for + on block.

Thanks for the tips, will definitely keep them in mind for next time. I should probably play around with a Chun CPU in training mode.

I can't even tell who's joking and who's serious about Chun buffs anymore.

I'd rather they focus on making a compelling complete character rather than splitting one character up over three different styles.

Got that anti-air challenge in my first match, kinda proud of that, heh. I'm wearing my "Defensive Master" title just to remind myself to focus on that all the time.

Cammy is great, she's the only character I don't main (post sf2) that I can keep going back to and perform reasonably with.
Maybe I should just main her again, it's been awhile.

Fighting styles are cool but there's one thing I dislike. Depending on the style you pick, you are limited in other areas when you do so. I don't want a character to play just as a grappler or just as a zoner, I like variety in the midst of a match.

I would MUCH prefer selectable v-skills since those can change the way a character plays without affecting the character's original moveset.

Give Guile back the Shades of Glory taunt.

(Edit: I'm late to the buffs party)

+1

Also I DO NOT want fighting styles akin to MKX at all. But selectable CAs (which given SF's history will probably happen) and maaayyyybbbee the selectable V-Skills like that was just mentioned I'd be down for.

Stop sleeping.

I'd actually be curious to join that lobby. I wanna see how others deal with vulva's amazing Chun.

But dreams are the only place I can win at SF5. :/

Vulva is a lot better than me, so the results would be similar to my friend.

i.e. I get whupped.

I love learning, though, and vulva is good people, so I want to play him anyway. :p

I'm honestly not great at this game, I just have a good character this time. And yeah, i'm usually on pretty late since I get out of work around 7pm PST which can make things difficult. Maybe sometime this weekend?

That's cool. I'm around all day Saturday and Sunday.

Ping me on discord when you want to play. :)

I tend to get jumpy against Necalli for some reason. Maybe it's bc I'm scared of the gdlk st. rh. and then I panic and shit.

That's why it felt good to finally have a round where I stuck to the ground and brought the round back just by footsies and punishing approaches.

Sickest thing I've had happen to me playing ranked:

I should have just let the guy win after that.

edit: BornFree just put up a great interview with Infiltration

It's a shame what USF4 did to Elena's popularity.

Making her playstyle borderline broken and obnoxious didn't do her any favors.

SFxT Elena was SOOOOOOO awesome, though.
