(b) Are FANG
except when they jump at the dead zone between cr hp and st. mk apparently
(b) Are FANG
Urien is a little different. He has great range, can cover a lot of space with his special moves and can fish with his CC hp well, but the moves are slow. He's no Chun or Karin in that regard.
Certainly worth it if you:
(a) Have a DP/Flash Kick
(b) Are FANG
(c) Are Zangief or Alex
I use the FAT app, it has Urien framedataIs there frame data available for Urien? Where would I find it?
Urien's pokes are good, but Karin and Chun out-do him. That being said, they have a harder time bullying him than most other characters. I remember having trouble punishing Karin's sweep at max range with some characters, but Urien's sweep has some major range to it too. EX tackle is fast and has some mad distance, so it can punish highly negative things that people do and don't get punished for due to range (i.e. Birdie's EX bullhorn move into v-trigger). He has good frame-traps, good range, great damage and that's before he has v-trigger, which I believe is one of the best in the game.Im actually interested in using Urien after watching RB. It seems like Urien has a good neutral game, judging by the range of his normals. How good is his neutral relative to the rest of the cast like Chun and Karin? Also how bad are his AA's and Reversals? Ive been outta the loop on SFV since the first week of release.
Watching Daigo try to AA with DP this weekend was sad. Maybe it hits? Maybe it doesn't auto correct and it completely whiffs then you get CC'd into V-Trigger into knockdown into 50/50 and immediately lose, maybe you try to st.LP AA and it works.. maybe it gets stuffed out by Necalli's downward SRK and you get combo'd into V-trigger into knockdown into 50/50 and immediately lose
just block brehs
Any Bison Mains?
I dont get how he went from super high to super low! Top Bisons online still give me a lot of trouble. Feels bad man...havent figured out him or Sim lol...
That's what cr.mk is for!except when they jump at the dead zone between cr hp and st. mk apparently
OP, you should probably swap the Mad Catz FightPad Pro for the revised version with the better D-Pad.

His anti-airs are ok. Functional. We're not talking Vega or Bison bad, but I'm not talking Alex or Birdie good either. s.HK hits high, f.mp will catch jumps at a distance, and EX headbutt is invulnerable so it'll beat any jump in, but that has a very specific area where it will hit. Finally, s.fp can lead to a juggle into super, but it has a pretty high hurtbox. On the bright side, if it trades, you still recover in time to get the combo into super. It's like SF4 Ryu all over again!
Reversals, all he has is EX headbutt which has a ton of invincibility, but can be crush-counter'd on recovery. It hits twice, and if it hits once people tend to miss the punish, but that'll change as you go up the ranks. His v-reversal is fine, but it's hard to sacrifice v-trigger (Aegis Reflector) for it because it is so good.
Former Bison main.
The issue with Dictator is that his method of approach is really one dimensional. He can get in with only a few options and it only takes a little bit of improper spacing to make things incredibly unsafe for him. All of his combos rely on counter hit to be effective and the range on his normals is quite horrible. In order to be really effective and scary, Dictator needs to pop V-Trigger and land a CH in order to burn all of his EX meter and Trigger. It just isn't worth it, honestly.
His beta versions had true pressure it was great but then he became "pls don't block" the characterYep. There's a reason people were doubting his high placing in tier lists when the game came out.
Some of us got ridiculed for saying he sucked, even here .
It hurt.
Aesthetically, Urien translated fantastic from 3rd Strike. The voice, while different, has the right kind of attitude and badass sound to it. Exactly what was lacking from Dudley in SF4. Gameplay-wise, his normals are very similar, but better. In 3rd Strike, Urien heavily relied on unblockable setups and pressuring you while you're forced to block Aegis, but Aegis in this game dissipates too fast on block for that to be very effective (though RB's corner tricks with knee-drop were pretty sweet). In this game, you 'push' your opponent into Aegis, they block it, and you mix them up during that. I think this is a design choice, so that your opponent can risk pressing a button to interrupt pressure if they wish. I picked up and got effective with Urien fairly fast. Thanks for the info. Still unsure who to pick among those three...Urien is super fun though.
How similar are Chun/Urien to their 3S versions?
HOLY SHIT, WE FIGHT ON THE WINGS OF A GODDAMN PLANE?Rashid stage out tomorrow. 70k or $3.99
Things change. Haven't seen any character putting in much work with Vega, and his weaknesses are becoming more apparent, whereas Du just bodied Tokido in two sets with Guile showing that true zoning is indeed possible and those booms are hard to fight.
I definitely wouldn't put vega above Guile right now.
Fighting on an airplane? I think we're finding the maximum level of cognitive dissidence when we try to imagine how certain stage have a "corner".
Not that any of the DLC stages have a stage transition, but this one most certainly will not. If they did, it would have to be more like astage fatality.

Street Fighter Alpha had a moving train stage too, so it's not something new for the series. Though I don't think they've had a full on aerial stage before (someone correct me if I'm wrong)Pretty sure I've seen a fighting game stage on the wings of a biplane before, but that could be my old man memory.
King of Fighters definitely had a moving train stage.
Like 99% sure that's just some of the artwork used at RedBull battlegrounds. Ono just tweeted that picture to show that he is there and is gonna drop some news.Did we ever find out what this background was exactly? I have an argument going that needs closure.
70K
It's gonna be hard moving forward to decide whether to hold onto my FM for characters or spend it on this stuff. Cool looking stage, though.

I don't play Chun, but her game in 3rd Strike revolved around turtling and whiffing normals to build meter, which doesn't happen here. I'd say she's closer to her SF4 incarnation, but with some tweaks to make her pressure game a lot better.

Honestly, I'm glad Capcom is doing some funky stuff here, the stage looks great.

Ok, this would be amazing. I need to find some pictures from the venue and see where this could be.Like 99% sure that's just some of the artwork used at RedBull battlegrounds. Ono just tweeted that picture to show that he is there and is gonna drop some news.

This is what someone saw in there (supposed to be Akuma and Sagat): http://abload.de/img/untitled-1bmkpj.png
Yeah, he absolutely played out of his skin, and Nemo is doing alright wit the character as well.. But Rashid is winning things, and he's not a good character either.
Wow, Rashid's stage looks incredible. Maybe X-Kira was telling the truth after all? He said a Dubai stage was coming next, before Bison's temple or anything else.
