Yeah, I beat Hard survival with Urien and didn't get the FM which was infuriating considering it was only my second time beating Hard.

I mean, Kolin could be pretty damn interesting, but I really want to see what else they're gonna release alongside her. We already know that the CFN update is coming next month, but hopefully we'll get some nice costumes this month.
 
Yep I'm anxious to see this new character but I'm not sure it will be Kolin/Helen though. Also, I don't think we are going to get the CFN update next month as they did say anytime in Spring.
 
The only way the new character isn't Helen is if the silhouettes are red herrings, because the first silhouette is 100% Helen.

We didn't get S1 in the exact order of the silhouettes, though. Ibuki was after Balrog, for instance (although we ultimately got them on the same day).
 
Man, it sucks having to rely on random matchmaking to improve. Battle Lounge filtering is a mess, making it a waste of time. I don't have a personal circle I can just invite to play. Whenever I invite someone strong I encounter through matchmaking, they don't want to join.

Lame.
 
Reading a article in eventhub about charecter balance made my day.

One thing we need to see is Urien ex headbutt to have 34f recovery like the other invincible reversal. Also Ryu's axe kick should stay in Marvel.
 
Not sure if it's supposed to be on sale but I just managed to buy the Cammy Swimsuit on UK PS4 for £1.69.

No other special costume is at this price so maybe it's a glitch or sale I missed?!?

I suppose I should learn Cammy now. :/
 
4 out of 5 of my last ranked matches have been lagfests. Literally 90% of all matches end in failure to retrieve data errors, and about 50% now are also getting the failure to send data error. Is it safe to say that the online for this game is the worst it's ever been since day one? How has it progressively gotten worse?

I'd have to respectfully disagree. Hell, I'd be genuinely shocked if the upcoming Season 2 character wasn't Kolin/Helen.

I played a few games this afternoon and almost nobody rematched me, which is highly unusual. I was feeling occasional bits of lag, but I have to wonder if I was teleporting all over their screens.

Load times, even in local vs mode, were pretty fucked as well. This game feels like it's been abandoned by the devs even though we know new stuff is coming soon.
 
Finally grinded back to Plat after getting bodied by Capcom's bugs. I'm swearing off ranked forever now.

I'm in a similar boat, but with ranked. The competition is there, but there are too many issues with the game's network right now for it to be worth it. I'm pretty much just relying on Gaf for my good matches.

Capcom abandoned ship and working on marvel now.
 
All my ranked matches last night were fine connecting to the server pre-post match.

Was getting teleporting alot, but I think it's my connection or equipment at this point.
 
Fought a FANG that was just putting up a wall of poison. Made it through and found out he was all gimmicks, so I got the first set on him 2-1.

We played again, and he got the match as I wanted to test more stuff, so I was ready to match him up again and he booted me :(

C'mon fam.

Once DQ told me how punishable EX headbutt is punishing it stopped being a big deal. It is deceptively fast looking compared to most DPs, though. You can't even get a good neutral jump punish on it.

I would agree. Ranked is unplayable for me right now.

I find that Chun-Li being that low in that list is somewhat dubious. It might mean that most of those playing her right now are the high level players, because she's still really strong.

You just have to work SOOOO DAMN HARD for every win as compared to other characters.

If you want to zone, just pick Guile and have an easier time of it. If you want to play pressure/frametraps then just pick Bison. Unless you like all that the character offers, other characters do specific parts of his gameplan particularly well and most people just want that one part rather than FANG's whole package.

And I agree on Chun-Li.

It says right on the website page that the v-league tracker only tracks about 35K people. You'd probably get more accurate statistics from anecdotal experiences. Capcom has results that are probably more accurate on their CFN page.

Oh, I don't mean the hard numbers because it's obvious this data isn't exhaustive. I mean relative to the other characters from those taken. Statistically, I imagine it's true that Chun-Li is on the lower spectrum in terms of general activity online nowadays. But I bet that the percentage becomes significantly different, for her in particular, once you get to Platinum leagues and higher.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that Capcom page exists. Though those numbers are pretty dated; I bet things changed pretty dramatically with the start of January.
 
Has capcom said anything as of late on getting battle lounges to show those ping bars instead of always giving me a "?". Some region settings would be nice as you've got people clearly wandering from the opposite end of the world into lounges because it's a crapshoot whether or not you get a room right for you.
 
after playing other online games for the past few weeks, I log into SFV and man the gameplay is still so good. Love it.

Then I get to the winscreen and the errors and I just burst out laughing. How the fuck do they still have these problems? The game is a year old almost and still this garbage. They need to just put GGPO on their shit and call it a day. Admit defeat, whatever.

They cannot be proud of this product in its current state. The game is fine, but as a product a year from release this game is completely wack.


Still played for several hours earlier. Love this dumb, anger-inducing, shit pile of a product. I need some good news Capcom, and not about characters. About everything else going on with this game.


Do we know what day we will hear about the new character?
 
I really hope it's not Helen/Kolin, if only because I had a real excitement towards the prospect of them being completely brand new characters, rather than characters that we've already seen in some fashion that are now playable.
