I play other games with cosmetic DLC and I've never seen communities as up in arms about it as I've seen with SFV. The same "rich get richer" shit happens in all of them and I've never been driven to any amount of anger or frustration over it. It's just something that happens. Voice how you feel about it. Hopefully Capcom listens. But there's no point in getting an attitude about it. If I came off as antagonistic with my earlier comments, I apologize. That's all.

F.A.N.G is not alone in not getting any costumes.
In fact, 1/3 of all characters only have the standard 3 costumes, and 5 of those are from the original cast (F.A.N.G, Birdie, Sim, Bison, and Rashid).

Hopefully Capcom will address this soon, because it is getting rather silly.

Akuma is The low key Street Fighter Mascot and there were so many requess that they had to put him, and him being a flagship character tricked idiots like myself into buying a whole season pass of mystery overwatch lootbox fighters.

They wanted to put in a bunch of characters that the staff liked but people wouldn't actually pay money for, it didn't really work out.

Necalli is a new character, people also like necalli unlike fang.

And fang was to be a potential replacement that capcom hopped people would like, it did not work out. I call it " The silver the hedgehog " effect.

Sagat is probably going to be used to sell another DLC pack

I just think it's hilarious how Ryu basically says peace out at the beginning and then just magically fixes everything at the last second. I love cheesy trashy fighting game stories, but this one was not so hot. That being said, I would like to see another "season" of it with the DLC characters added in.

Necalli is the Suzuki Minoru of SFV like he jobs to everyone but he's the guy I want on my side in a fight.

Rashid jobs to FANG to start the whole mode off and never really escapes it. Outside of Guile Nash either gets trashed or "wins" (I HATE how story mode does the thing where you "win" but actually you lost as soon as the cutscenes start again). Nash was a huge disappointment in story mode.

I'm a big story mode guy, story mode here is disappointing, I was expecting entertaining nonsense and instead found it be kind of boring nonsense.

Juri and Urien come off as badasses in the story. So does Ed lol.

The ranked system in the game is trash and doesn't really let you make an interesting show around it to watch since you're locked to one character and there are no lobbies so you never get those salty runbacks. Plus, there's a lot of down time since the matchmaking is so slow.

On top of that, both Gootecks and Mike are incredibly ignorant of the game and the news around it, so they just complain and spread misinformation constantly.

Well, he's supposed to be strong in canon I think. It probably mostly stems from how they can't really kill off characters, so every bad guy will eventually feel like a paper tiger.

Thinking about it, Necalli was probably weak for a few reasons.

The first reason is because he didn't get to absorb anyone. At least, anyone notable. All of the people he was supposed to eat got away, and the only time he goes full power IIRC is against a buffed Ryu.

The second reason is because each time, for the most part, he fights people that outnumber him or it isn't worth his time. The first fight is against Balrog, but Necalli was aiming for Urien and not the boxer. Outnumbered on that front, he bounces from the fight. Second fight was against Ryu, where he actually does alright, then Sim sets in and Necalli leaves because the moon goes away or something. I guess he figures Ryu isn't ripe enough because he seemed pretty happy when he left.

Then he shows up at Bison's joint, who's buffed up as well. It took Bison staggering him and FANG hitting him with that poison, which ain't anything to fuck with. Necalli leaves. Later, he sees Charlie and Rashid and tries to eat them. They get away.

The last fight is against Ryu, who's power is literally the opposite of his, and thus he gets melted. I think Akuma's battle happened after the story mode, and that's when Necalli is finally killed, but who knows. Akuma is still the strongest in the story so far (at least with Oro and Gill not in V), so that's fine.

So really, if you think about it, Necalli was never at full power up until his fight against Ryu, and the fights he lost he was either outnumbered or just gave up because it wasn't worth his time. Additionally, since Necalli absorbed the Warrior Prophet, homeboy is probably nerfed because of that. It's not that Necalli jobs during the story, it's that they never let him reach full power enough to pose a real threat.

tl;dr Necalli was never at full power and the story never let him go all out. If only he had st-strong souls to eat.

Edit: Also, since it'll be easier to find people through the CFN in the new update, the matchmaking will be better, and other such luxuries, will EA become better? No because their hosts are comprised of a dude who whines a lot and is always down on himself and another guy who spends too much time placating his friend. Gootecks takes himself way too seriously, and Mike doesn't pop off like he used to. He also doesn't have the reads he used to have in 4, that shit was sick. Even with its problems, I'm able to watch other streams play SFV and it's not too bad.
