I feel like that's how it should be. The later one should beat the earlier one.
Pretty sure it worked like that 99% of the time in SF4.

Its all about frames. If char A does a super and has 10f Startup , it will have 10f of invincibility. If Char B answers with his own super as reversal but its a 5f Startup , its most likely going to have 5f of invincibitliy. So even after the startup animation Char A still has way more invinc left.

Ultras in SF4 also work the same, but usually most ultras are really slow and have similar startups. It does happen in SFIV too tho , someone like Makoto cant reversal ultra everytime since its pretty fast. If Fei Long did his Ultra and Gief did a Reversal ultra , Gief will still lose. Since his Ultra starts in 1f and runs out of invinic pretty quick.

Nash has one of the slowest Supers in the game (10f) so he also benefits from the most invinc.

Laura's jumping crossups are so ambiguous lol (she even has lk and mk), I swear I see her in front of me but all of a sudden she hits a crossup and the guessing ride begins!

Guys, I'm ready to admit defeat. If that silhouette shared above is indeed what character 2 will be I just don't see it being either Azam OR Byron. I couldn't be happier about this to be honest.

Of course, to confirm my personal curiosity I went into clip studio paint and did a thing ... a bad thing -

Odd. Seem to be missing announcer voice and intro voices with characters on the PC. Anyone know a fix?


Edit: False alarm. Sound setting set to 7.1. Bleh. Good to go.

I got season pass 2 shortly after it became available because I make poor life choices, but I'm a bit down on it being Helen/Kolin if only because I was looking forward to seeing some brand new character designs as opposed to characters we've already seen given movesets, and I don't really see interest in her as a fighter either, but it's dramatically taken down the "surprise" aspect I was wanting out of the season 2 reveals. Nevertheless I'm not being a huge downer on it, because hey, if they're fun that's all that matters.

Let's be real. Daigo is going to get bopped. Daigo currently has a streak of 4 straight Topanga League wins and historically he has done extremely well in the online ft3 portion of the league, but it's over for SFV. Ryu is ass and I don't think his playstyle fits SFV Ryu as much as Ryus from past SF games.

Am I really the only Nash player that can take on Guile? Or one of the very few that are good?

I don't know how many Nash players in Silver and below but getting matched up against Nash players is uncommon when in Platinum. This was also before S2 as well.

The majority of players are in league below Platinum, and 90% of those players hold up+forward.

So a character that can AA like Guile will have an advantage,regardless of how the matchup goes.
