I dunno man. it seems like ever since the whole Ken face thing, stream monsters and r/kappa try to force that meme on other characters as well when it really isn't deserved. People said the same shit about Ibuki and I didn't get it at all.

Yeah it was really fucking bad, I guess that was the first sign of SNK going bankrupt hahaha. Spent all that money on those sprites but didn't save any for the network servers lmao.
Yeah, it happens with every character now. Akuma looks like Akuma, and yet now all of a sudden people are hung up on the fact that he's ugly and has a big nose. Ibuki looks good, but has one unflattering angle in her win screen pose that people have latched onto. Either way, it's massive amounts of hyperbole that I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anymore.
Yeah, everybody takes one camera angle in game when you don't see them like that except for the screenshot you post on the web to shit on the game, lol.
Everybody looks perfect in-game when you're playing, imo.

Ken's face is funky all the time. That win pose after winning a round where he punches twice and kicks and then raises his fist in the air? That face is fucking demonic.

Because they're working on a completely new online infrastructure and net-code so there's not much of an incentive to fix the current one, duh!
I REALLY hope this is the case, as unlikely as it is. They did promise some pretty big updates, so...
I mena, we know that CFN is getting updated, but we don't know how extensive the updates will be. Hopefully they'll go ham with the updates like you're suggesting.

Hey, first time posting. I was wondering if anyone could help critique my gameplay and give me some advice to improve? I'm stuck in Ultra Bronze, giving close matches against silvers but ultimately losing and easily beating any other bronze players. I can post footage of my last two FT2s

BTW is there a way to see how much FM you have accumulated so far? I wonder how far away I am from the one million trophy.
And yeah, it takes me a good while to get a match and sometimes it doesn't even go through for who knows what reason, it is really frustrating, that's why I hardly play now.

Where do you live, because 5 minutes to find a match is not normal at all.
Usually way under a minute for me. Sometimes a couple seconds.

I get beat a lot when my opponent is close and I don't know when I should be moving or charging flash kick when at range.
Peru, on average it takes around that, definitely NOT a minute or less, at least not as the general rule, it's really frustrating and I don't think it is my Internet.
Edit: It's been almost 5 mins since I wrote this post and still no match...

I only watched the first video, but I don't think I saw a single wakeup ex flash kick.
I know it's scary that you might eat the CC, but you really have to do it at least once to make your opponent at least consider that you would do it.
This alex was just dashing up and all up in your grill every knockdown, make them respect the reversal.
Also, way too many sweeps man, shit is unsafe as hell.

I have almost zero experience with KoF, but every time I see K Dash I'm like "That's the coolest looking character ever."

Dude, you don't even know. I've been trying to learn SFV, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and even a bit of Marvel. I don't know if I can handle another.
KoF is something I really want to learn, but fuck I just don't have time to.
Could be the infrastructure of the network in Peru rather than your own internet providers speed. Here in the UK I get most matches, on average, within 1 minute of searching.
You jump too much for a guile, you never use flash kick wake up enough and you're too close keep your distance.

3-5 minutes is pretty standard for me too
East Coast, wired connection, 4-5 bar ask. Still bad
Towards the top of Super Silver. Some of my mates are gold and they also get matches within a minute or so, sometimes even less. Loading times are still rubbish though.

That loading glitch happened to me today again. It completed in 1/2 the time it usually does. I'm pretty sure they are capable of fucking shortening these things.

KOF feels like the hardest for me besides anime games. I JUST found a team and now trying to get into canceling drives and shit or whatever. I'm fine with being trash at fighting games so long as I can play them.
I get really pissy at one game if I play it too long by itself. Like, some days I go too far down the rabbit hole and over-analysis the game, or notice the little things that piss me off. I quit Gundam Full Boost because of the tier situation when in reality it wasn't even that bad. If I play a bunch of fighters, I don't fall into getting overtly angry at a game. I kinda feel like playing a bunch of games keeps me focused on the fun parts and not so much on the negatives. I dunno.
How do you guys even fit all these games in your schedule? I put an hour into SFV or two, and the other ones get the remainder of my time, which is usually another hour or so. Depends on where I'm working from.
I see you Capcom.

I really, really wish that SNK would actually release something with a more single character focus again, because as much as I want to support their output I often times have difficulty choosing the one character I like enough to main in a game, let alone three. It's always been my main barrier with KOF. Give me more Garou.
I have a similar problem, and it's one of the reasons I'm really excited for MvCi. Two characters is way more manageable than three.

Yeah, that's been my gripe with tag games as well. X-Men vs Street Fighter was what really got me into Capcom fighters to begin with, so I loved that ilk of CPS2 fighters as well as Rival Schools, but then it seemed like the conclusion that they kept drawing in the designs of their sequels was to increase team sizes and it always lost me in the process. I'm hype for Infinite despite never having an interest in playing 3.
