Damn, you have to fucking sit tight and refrain from pressing buttons needlessly when going against a Rog. Just had a match where I was being very patient while keeping my distance as I was winning by a good margin, then he gets one hit in (low target combo that somehow hits everyone lol) and away went about 80% of my health. The next round I simply said fuck it I'll just go ham, I swear I couldn't press shit, he must have gotten like 7 counter hits there and a couple of CCs.

In retrospect, I'm kinda glad that the game forced me to do 10 Ranked Matches for Fight Money, otherwise I wouldn't have realized how far I came since I last played Ranked.

I got tunnel vision so hard during that match that I didn't even pay attention to his CA gauge. If I did, the chance of me blocking would have been higher. Same thing happened when we played a bunch of casuals after the set.

Not used to that extremely patient, reactive style. I learned some stuff thanks to the casuals, but it's still pretty weird/tough.

Goddamn Toronto. We'll get payback next season.

GG's Vulva, I haven't played that much in a very long time. Although I'm clearly outclassed, I couldn't stop anyways because I was salty about getting beat down constantly. I was pausing at the beginning of the last 3-4 sets to see if you were going to leave. Since you didn't I just kept playing.

ggs, I think about half way through my mind started having troubles focusing, so if the button presses started seeming trolly or anything I promise it wasn't meant to be. I just was exhausted lol. It was fun though, we should play again (maybe set a hard defined set limit though lol)

I really hope they can make Dhalsim less flowcharty in future updates, cause man, his TP->air normal->blockstring stuff is just mindnumbing after a while.

This isn't a power level criticism, it's a "please make him more interesting" request.

You know you can just jab him out of it unless it's part of a setup after a knockdown.

EDIT: Unless you mean when you're playing him? Ahh ok. I have the same problem with FANG in that he's designed to be aggressive and frametrappy when I just wanna play keepaway.

Red Bull proving grounds was the hypest stuff. The lesser known players are where the hype is at. EVO is going to be a bloodbath

Yeah, those setups are what I'm talking about. This isn't coming from a player POV- scrub sims are easy to blow up, it's about those setups (and the lack of any other decent ones) making Sim feel really stale and difficult to personalize.

Every Sim does the exact same thing and it makes the character a flowchart.

Yea LES plays extremely reactive in a game where it's really difficult. His AA game with Bison is really solid.

Opportunities for me to shill KI just come so naturally in this thread.

Killer Instinct has the same thing. Aganos, Gargos and General RAAM are just straight up gigantic compared to most of the cast, and the camera is very noticeably pulled back when you're up against a "normal" sized opponent.

I have tried so hard to like KI, because it does SO MANY THINGS so well.

But I really hate the breaker system and like 90% of the character designs.

Someone made a fan mod of the default Laura outfit during the beta and it's still better than anything she ever officially got.

I like my T&A in games, but I always thought her outfit made no sense.

Fair enough, at least you gave it a shot.

For whatever it's worth, I wasn't a fan of the breaker system at first but once I REALLY started to understand how it worked and how many options characters generally have, it became a lot more fun for me.

I have a feeling of cognitive dissonance whenever she does her anti-air grab while wearing her story mode costume. It's just not possible that they're still in there.
