Well, it's also confusing if "Season 1" never aired in the US and they announced that the new Cinemax series would premiere with Season 2. It's a little messy either way, but this caters to their US audience.

Yeah, but why they never aired it in the U.S.?

I never understood that, they should have started with the real first season in the U.S. too.

Didn't Sky make a partnership with Cinemax?

This is strange they did not give them the rights of the first season.

Strike Back is like the prequel to the story of one character in Project Dawn...

When does the new season actually start?
I don't think there's a date on the new season, but mid-August is a good bet with the dvd's coming out right before that.
Didn't Sky make a partnership with Cinemax?
Sure, but that was after the season that Sky produced by themselves. I don't see it up on Maxgo or on-demand from Cinemax. It's not hard to follow Project Dawn if you haven't seen the stuff that came before it.

On set pic with a fan while they're filming S3. I assume that's his stunt double on the right, though they end up doing a lot of their own stunts for this.

It is in borderlands 2 if that is what you are thinking of.
Definitely remember that one, but I thought it popped up somewhere else.

Here's a tidbit from their wikipedia page:
"Short Change Hero", from The Heavy's second album, has been used in the 2010 film Faster, the intro for NHL 13 by EA Canada, and has been used in a trailer for Batman: Arkham City, which has been named accordingly. It was also used in the opening cutscene of Borderlands 2, along with "How You Like Me Now?" used in the game's ending credits. An instrumental jazz version of "Short Change hero" later appeared in Poker Night 2, which featured characters from Borderlands. "Short Change Hero" was used as the theme for the first, second and third seasons of Strike Back. It has also been used in season three of The Vampire Diaries and also in the last episode of season 2 of Suits. The band was asked to record a cover of the song "And When I Die" for the fourth season finale of True Blood. It also appeared on the third True Blood soundtrack. "Who Needs The Sunshine?" was featured in the penultimate episode of the fourth series of Being Human, "Making History". The song was also featured in a promo for the new Cinemax series Hunted. Short Change Hero is also being used to promote the new season of Longmire on A&E Memorial Day.

Unfortunately the production recon vids have dried up, but they're still posting pics occasionally.

Here's the stunt coordinator and Stonebridge working on a scene:

Vert boil - did you make any gifs from S1 & S2? We're in short supply here, unfortunately.

Nope, if anyone remembers a good scene or an ep that's filled with good bits I can go back but I don't think I'll watch them again before it starts. I'll do the new season, looks like there are some cracking bits.

Cool, I'll just wait on the new season. I can't remember anything off the top of my head that'd make a great gif from the show (aside from all sorts of people getting punched and shot every episode.)

Cinemax PR on this season:
In 'Strike Back's third season, stealth counterterrorism unit Section 20 pursues a deadly terrorist network from Colombia to Lebanon to Eastern Europe, uncovering deadly plots that threaten the West. The team tracks the elusive terrorist al-Zuhari and his well-financed drug cartel partners as they target European and American interests, both at home and abroad, including Section 20 itself. As they often must do, the Section 20 team is forced to resort to extraordinary measures to protect the greater good, making some members question their future with the unit.
