I already do read the ToS on most games. I really should try and get paid for it.
I won't even pay $80 for a game, and can count the number of times I've spent $70 on one hand, I ain't paying $100. I'll read the EULA.
Hate to be cynical but thanks to rapidly increasing automation I think we're squarely in the twilight years of even charging money upfront for games.Would you rather have free games for life but every time you start a new game for the first time, you are forced to read the entire terms of service before playing it, or every game cost $100 per game (including smaller indie games).
Yes. Yes, all of us sane, literate people would take the 10-15 minutes to read a TOS if it meant the game was free.
GAF really is a bubble.Who in the fuck would rather pay a hundred bucks than read a document?
Depends on how much value you place on your time. If the document is long enough I would probably opt to pay the money to get straight to what I actually want to be doing.Who in the fuck would rather pay a hundred bucks than read a document?
Serious question for those who would rather pay than read, and I'm not picking on you guys, just honestly curious: Do you find reading difficult or have some type of learning disability?
It always makes me laugh when one of the pro for digital is "I can switch between games without moving and no time loss".It's the same reason digital has won over physical. Every little second counts, every little contraction of one's muscles must be avoided if at all possible.
EZ first choice, most of us cant make 100$ in few minutes needed to read terms of service, hell most of us dont make it in an hour even ;DWould you rather have free games for life but every time you start a new game for the first time, you are forced to read the entire terms of service before playing it, or every game cost $100 per game (including smaller indie games).
There's absolutely nothing I value more than my time outside of my family, but I still would absolutely never, under any circumstances pay money to avoid reading. I just find it interesting is all, thanks for the response man.Depends on how much value you place on your time. If the document is long enough I would probably opt to pay the money to get straight to what I actually want to be doing.
