I used to see polls on facebook, questions asked by regular users. I cant find the button anymore to make a poll. Any idea where it is?

Anyone know where I can find a clean version of Move, Shake, Drop by DJ Laz?

Apparently the ones on ITunes aren't clean enough for my wife's class.

Why do we complain when an artist or group changes? Is it us or is it the band/singer in most cases? Do you think if we had the internet back in the days of The Beatles (who changed so many times over there career) that we'd see people complaining about there new sound?

Does anyone remember this children's book character (I want to say Scholastic) from the 90s? She was illustrated in black and white, and she wore a black and white striped sweater, and I believe she had pigtails. I've been scouring every "90's kid" blog that I can find and still no luck.

So my TV's speakers suck and I'm thinking of using my old 2.1. PC speakers for my TV's audio (with an RCA male - 3.5mm female cable/adapter). I heard subwoofers fuck up game consoles/PCs if they're near by (mainly the hard drives I imagine). I was thinking of putting it about 2 feet away as it's attached to the speakers by cables so I have no other option. Would this be a safe distance away so my consoles/PC don't fuck up?

Alternatively, I was thinking of picking up a sound bar and wireless subwoofer online. How far can the subwoofer be before it loses connection to the soundbar and will it cause interference with my Wii U <--> Wii U Game Pad connection?

Thanks in advance.

I'm leaving my apartment this summer for a two month internship out of state. My roommate will still be here. Do I have to pay part of utilities for those two months, or just the rent?

Can someone recommend a good reading lamp? My only qualifications are that it's one that plugs in, and that it can sit on my night stand.

Where does this avatars' band-wagoning come from?

Why do our bodies feel the way they do right after waking up?

I always feel heavy and comfortable...if I wake up on one side and then roll over to the other side it feels wonderful. What is physically happening to our bodies to make us feel like that?

I applied for a new job a few weeks ago. I've had two interviews and a testing session. They asked me to a lunch interview. I don't have many dress shirts, because I've never really needed more than a few, so I'm running out of combinations that are appropriate for an interview. I've worn a grey suit with a white shirt and black tie and a blue shirt with a black/blue tie.

Is a darker grey (sort of charcoal) color shirt appropriate for an interview? That's about all I have left that I haven't worn and I think would be good for an interview.

If not, I'll have to go buy a new shirt/tie combo tonight. I think I'd probably go with something green this time around.

Question:

I have a 1920 x 1200 monitor that I've been using for a while. It has 2 DVI inputs and a VGA input. So far everything has been running fine at 1920x1200. However, when I move my PC connection (DVI) from one DVI input to the other my PC no longer recognizes the monitor as being able to support that resolution and defaults to something like 1280x720 and I can't change it. When I try and force 1920x1200 in the nVidia control panel everything comes out distorted. When i move the PC connection back to the original DVI input everything works fine.

Any ideas?

Alright very strange question... looking for a pillsbury commercial from this year. I believe it's for crescents, it's very similar to this commercial

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZcBDMz6g0E

My friend swears up and down they basically remade this commercial this year, and I have to see the newest one, just can't find it. Again strange request, but will love whoever posts it.

A few years back, maybe more than a few, there was this blog telling the story of an african american who travelled to Japan to teach English. I can clearly remember him talking about how the girls were nipping his butt all the time and doing pranks etc because he was so exotic. Anyone know of this blog?

I believe you're talking about Gajin Smash. Just checked but it seems the guy moved to a new blog, but the old stuff is archived there.

How do restaurants determine maximum occupancy, and does that occupancy include the people making the food?

Read this:

http://www.wisegeek.com/how-does-the-fire-marshal-determine-the-maximum-occupancy-of-rooms.htm

Basically the Fire Marshall determines the number not the restaurant themselves. For fire safety. And yes the number usually includes everyone.

At my bar, we had the number change several times within a matter of a month. The Fire Marshall will try to come in on your busiest night and look over the place.

I am looking for this one specific thread on NeoGAF. It wasn't too long ago. I think it was in Gaming board and I can't remember the thread title. All I remember it was about Amazon reviews. I did a quick search but they were all not the one I am looking for specifically.

All I remember about that thread was that it has funny Amazon reviews about games. Customers was complaining and leaving negative reviews because the game they bought didn't work on the system they thought it could play on. I remember reading one of the reviews when somebody bough a DS game and it didn't work on another system which I can't remember. That's all I remember really. The reviews were hilarious and dumb.

Anybody know that thread I am refering to?

I was at Disneyland a few days ago and brought back few bags of carmel and chocolate popcorn and have been craving it ever since. Since I don't live in SoCal, I won't be able to get any from the park. Does anyone know a good alternative or if I can buy the Disney branded popcorn anywhere else?

I'm looking for a comic. It's the one of the stick figure that looks like he wants to object to something (he has his hand up) but then he gets his hand to his mouth and he keeps thinking. I've been looking for it for some time now and I can't find it! Thanks in advance

Don't know anything about the site, but are these what you're looking for?

Every time I move my arms in a particular motion they crack. Does that mean anything? I have back pain and shoulder pain but it doesn't hurt when they crack.

The left one cracks more but the right hurts me more.... hmmm. If I do a quick punching motion they will crack every single time. Am I DYING!>?!?!?!

You're supposed to guess if the horrible news are from Germany, Australia, or Florida.
False, it was Austria, after that one guy locked his daughter in the basement for 20 years. Australia is like the guy named Micheal Jackson, from Barry, IN, wearing a fake jacket, trying to get free dinners off of someone else's name. I just don't believe it that any truly weird stories have come from Australia.

I'm trying to remember the name of a "horror film". It might have been a made for tv sci fi channel flick. It's set on a cruise ship and this squid like creature is sucking the bodily fluids out of the passengers leaving just dust left from it's victims. The one scene that stuck with me was someone was using the toilet on the ship and the tentacle comes up through the toilet and drags the woman through the toilet. Only other thing I can help narrow it down is it was made in the last 10-15 years.

It quickly swapped over to Australia.

Australia needs to step it up, though. Florida is eating their lunch right now. Hell, Germany needs to step it up, too. Top billing means you need to really give it your all, and Germany and Australia just aren't delivering these days.

Deep Rising?

Are there any better search engines / databases than google scholar for, preferably, free scientific articles? I need to find books and articles about immersion, attention, lighting etc in video games for a course. I've managed to find some random articles via scholar and reference lists but some don't show up at all except as references in other articles xD

You could try arxiv.org, but I don't think they'd have anything relevant to what you're looking for.

Alright. I have no idea what I am doing yet I want to fix my tumble dryer.
On my quest, I found this:

IMAG0630.jpg

IMAG0631.jpg

So it seems like the way to fix this would be to weld the coil?

Can I use this guy to get the job done? Would the paste be strong enough to not melt when this thing is put back together?

cautin.jpg

Am I right in the assumption that the coil goes around the plate?

Or should I just "tie" up the coil with the rest of the pieces I found lying on the floor?

IMAG0633.jpg

Could I replace the whole coil? If so, where? Home depot doesn't seem to have this.

It occurred to me today... Time Bandits is kind of like, The Hobbit: The Fucked Up Version, isn't it?

The story is almost the same structure and everything. It's almost like it's supposed to be a parody or something.
