So, I have an International Business Finance exam in a few hours and I have no clue what to do. I've read the 4 chapters we're responsible for but it's just waaaaaaaayyyy too much information and the teacher has been very vague as to what we're responsible for (everything of course, from theory to graphs to the math).
First, he writes a ton on the board so it takes a good amount of time to actually get all the notes down. Second, he has this really thick African accent and it takes time to actually decode what he's saying into English. By the time I've jotted down all the notes for one topic and my brain translates what he's saying, he's onto the next topic or jumping to all sorts of other details that may, or may not, have relevance to our exams. I'm left confused after nearly every point. He's only available for extra help while I'm at work and I don't live on campus. The rest of the students seem similarly clueless. I've approached 4 people that seem to have a clue, but they're all uninterested in helping me out (jobs, no free time, etc).
Luckily I have an Mp3 player with voice recording ability. Unluckily, he told me I can't use it after the second class session!! School policy is that it's up to each individual teacher whether they allow lecture recording.
So I'm at square one again. I've got the notes but they're vague compared to his lecture. I can't understand his lecture too well, so I'm left with the book. The book is all sorts of complicated.
Any suggestions university-goers?
