All the crow being served for Leto's Joker now that we can see him in motion.

Dude's gonna own this role.

I don't remember many people questioning Leto's ability to do Joker, it was the visual design that was always the topic of discusion. Those tattoos still seem dumb.

This is pretty cool. Noted in a trailer breakdown

Joker messing with the logos?

how do you make a trailer for a multi million dollar movie that thousands of people have to approve and nobody realizes you are using the old Twitter logo?

Based on the trailer, how on Earth could this ever be possibly rated PG-13 (which they are actually aiming for)?

If this movie was released in the 80s, it would definitely earn an R rating.

If so, then I think Batman catches both, Harley Quinn and The Joker.

I dunno how they're going to handle the linear narrative, but it's possible Harley Quinn isn't Harley Quinn yet at that point. We know Joker is locked up at the "start" of the story, while the Suicide Squad is being formed. We know that Harley Quinn's entire origin will be a pivotal part of the movie, with her starting as a nurse.

Looks a trillion times better than BvS.

As an absolute Batman fanatic, it's really depressing to me that despite my best intentions, I just feel absolutely no sense of anticipation or excitement whatsoever for a movie with bloody Batman and Superman starring together in the same film. Yet I'm really excited about seeing this.

Based on only the trailer I think it actually works. I don't have the issues I thought I'd have.

Yes. I think the film opens with him catching the Joker after a chase through the city. Cameo.

That's what I'm thinking too. The movie opens with Batman catching Joker/Quinn and locking Joker/Quinn up. We then get into Blackgate, with Waller and the "threat" that causes her to get approval for Task Force X. Throughout the movie, we get flashback scenes from the villains and what led them to be imprisoned, and put into the group.

Waller's agreement is that the prisoners are granted their freedom if they complete their mission, which leads to more Batman, as he will fight Waller to keep that from happening.

So what do we think the Squad's mission objective is in this?

I'd love something as simple as 'Kill the Joker' but they'll probably be facing some powerful supernatural threat.

I'd love if the Batman/Waller confrontation comes down to Waller deciding "Hey Bruce, yeah we know who you are, we're going to kill the Joker" and Batman being like "You are going to get a lot of people killed, and the Joker won't be one of them".

It's going to be interesting if they do one flashback or more flashbacks. I really like the symbolism of the acid baptism of Harleen. True love.

My bet is Enchantress, then the Joker escapes and other maniacs.

Here's how a typical Suicide Squad story goes:

- The squad is sent to do some wetworks mission that has nothing to do with comic book stuff, either on foreign soil or domestically

- Shit goes wrong

- More shit goes wrong

- Someone dies

- Someone else dies

- Comic book shit happens

- The rest of the squad that's still alive has to compromise, compromise, compromise to survive and extract

So just take that template and attach the variables we've seen in the trailers into it. :P

Looks nice but there's something about Joker's makeup/design that bothers me. I think it's either the lack of Joker-y smile or his hair.

What I like the most about Leto's Joker is his vaguely cartoony voice, the way he delivers the line about showing off his toys was pitch perfect.

I remember reading somewhere that the Batman chase scene is actually
right after Joker killed Jason Todd and afterwards Batman retires and Harley leaves the Joker because of what he did. So Bruce puts on the cowl again for Superman, but leaves it on for Joker/Waller.

That might have just been speculation that I read instead of rumors tho

You forgot the part where someone either betrays or abandons them mid-mission

Pretty sure both Joker and Harley are in the car when Batman's chasing them and she doesn't seem to be trying to get away from him.

She has dyed hair and tattoos in at least one of the car scenes. I figure the first third will all be pre mission, if not pre-prison even.
