Oh hell yes. Suikoden is one of my favorite series. IF they did this and it didn't suck, that'd be great. Suikoden 2 is my 2nd favorite game of all time.

What happened to Vandal Hearts for the DS? I know exactly how it would work: the top screen does nothing other than provide an extra six foot of height for the geyser of blood when you kill someone.

Oh hellz no! I hate strategy games and the strategy bits of Suikoden are always my least favorites, except for 1 and 2 because they were essentially cutscenes.

I would be annoyed if it was released for DS (worst system since jaguar imo). PSP would do the 2d better. I would prefer it on PS2 though.

ugh, after III and IV, the idea of being excited for a new entry in this series is sub-possible. especially a tactics. uhh... IV barely had gameplay. now they're going to make a tactics game?

...

oh well, hopefully if nothing else they'll bring back fumi ishikawa to do the designs now that oz is done, and it'll generate an artbook i can buy instead of playing the game.

even if the game sucks, i'd buy it just for fumi ishikawa's artwork. if however that other girl is doing the art, i'm avoiding it like the plague unless it's the second coming to SRPGs.

Let's hope this is decent. Although, as I recall the Suikoden GBA offshoot kinda sucked.

I like Kawano's designs more but Ishikawa's art work is better from a technical standpoint either would be fine with me heh.

Eww Kawano :lol Fumi Ishikawa-sensei is thy GOD Love her art in S2 and S3. I'm hoping Suikoden Tactics shapes up to be a great game, with Ishikawa as the artist and Pesmerga better be in it !

I thought Suikoden I lacked a major amount of characterization, story, and interesting gameplay aside from getting star's of destiny. It was too easy to get all the star's.

I mean, I just can't see how anyone could find Suikoden better than Suikoden II, I think they have nostalgia goggles on if they do.

Just my opinion.

Duckroll, Konami did not make Onimusha Tactics. Onimusha is a CAPCOM game. And the people of Z say hi.

I think Suikoden's story was just as good as Suikoden2 in terms of scenario. What makes Suikoden better for me it's because i liked the characters better. I really cared for some of them. In Suikoden2 it's like nobody cares when a character dies and i found some part of this game colder than Suikoden the first. As for the rest of the game, graphics were better in Suiko2 but there was nothing new in the gameplay department (well, nothing worth mentionning). The menus in the second game were better designed but it does not weight important in the balance for me to counter the story/characters flaws of the game compared to the first. Suikoden the first is slightly better than Suiko2 imo.
