How could it happen sooner? They announced this today at the conference announcing the introduction of the World of Tanks service in Japan. It'll start on September 5.

Don't throw your logic at me! Why would you expect me to know things about World of Tanks?

Even a rehash of Panzer Front with GuP voicepack would be better than this shit.

I'm so disappointed. I will burn some GuP related things now.
Burning them is an affront to the love that GuP represents. Instead you should donate to poor souls that have yet to see the light.

These jokes are funnier in Japanese!

Yeah, the English jokes that the subtitlers came up with weren't as clever as the Japanese ones, though I guess that's to be expected.

"カエルとメオトに会えるでしょう" was beautifully executed. And appropriately enough, they came up with the most ingenious English version for that one, too!

Ryutaro Nakamura, director of Serial Experiments Lain and Kino's Journey, has died.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/new...ts-lain-director-ryutaro-nakamura-passes-away

I first watched Lain and Kino's Journey within a short time of each other a couple years ago and thought the styles were similar, though it wasn't until later that I looked again at the credits and realized Nakamura had directed both. They were definitely some of the most unique series I had ever seen, and in restrospect I was probably a little unfairly harsh in my impressions of Lain back then. I'd certainly like to rewatch it at some point in the future and see what I take away from it this time.

Holy crap. RIP.

I don't know if it's because of the movie format but it seems that everyone gets Tomino'd way too fast in this
Why must the best girls all die?
. Some very odd editing too. It's very obvious a substantial amount of content is skipped, some of it seemingly very important.

I laughed at when amuro uses his Newtypeness to dodge the slap only to be forced to take another.
All them Goufs hnnngh. Also Char's back yaaaay.
I kinda felt it was weaker than the first film overall. Let's see what the third brings.

Mesu Saga 1

So this is a lecherous wife getting it on with a lot of guys, and admitted to liking to taste different kinds of cock. She's also an AV actress hoping that the husband wouldn't find out.

But it turns out after the husband has sex with his wife while the videos are playing, that he was the mastermind behind the AVs, and gets off to watching his wife videos.

Well that was fun to watch, and no fucking X-Rays to boot. Fantastic.

Kakushi Dere 2

A guy is fantasizing about a purple haired girl who has a horrible attitude but is perfect in other ways. He's also pissed about V-Day existing. They've known each other for 10 years though, so it makes sense.

Meanwhile said girl is at home, masturbating to the idea of him fucking her (there's even a shadow fuck scene that lasts for about half an episode) when suddenly, he walks in on her, and she blurts out what she was doing.

And then they fuck, and she's a pro because she looked at porn mags. Anyway this was going great, fucking everywhere in the room... and then the final cumshot had to have xrays. Fucking damn it. I don't understand this!

Can't wait for next weeks review of Schoolgirls and Orcs.

Mesu Saga was great.

I owe it to myself to get back into Mushishi someday. I watched 5 episodes when I was just getting into anime, loved it, and for some reason never continued.
Maybe I'll raise its priority in the backlog...
You should, eps 8 is gdlk.
TBH I kinda stopped after eps 5 too and just back from it and finally settle with the groove.

This isn't like my PreCure!
This is exactly what you would expect if you read the back of the tin I suppose. The premise of the whole thing was pretty hilarious, though I'd say I preferred things like Beat Angel Escalayer on that front

I can't say it was very good but for what it's worth there is worse things out there. SDBurton could appreciate parts of it I guess but really, everything around that is pretty over the top that I'm not very sure!

I'm almost done with Eva and 08th MS Team. After those, I'll be watching Twin Peaks and another anime. I expect Twin Peaks to be fairly heavy, so I'd like to pick an anime with that in mind as sort of a palate cleanser between Twin Peaks episodes.

My to-watch list:
Mushishi
Black Lagoon
Monster
FMA Brotherhood
Gurren Lagann
Berserk
Haibane Renmei
Texhnolyze
Tatami Galaxy

Haibane Renmei is my favorite anime so Id recommend that obviously.
Otherwise, Mushishi is well laid back and has a mysterious vibe to it, like the forest in Princess Mononoke. Black Lagoon is brutal, Texhnolyze is...indescribable.
gurren Lagann is the most fun one so maybe watch that.

The first round of Saimoe preliminaries have begun.

So, here's a quick oversimplified rundown of how the new rule works this year: tournament goes the same as usual until there are only eight characters left, one for each of the main bracket groups. At this point, the 32 characters who were eliminated at any point as runners-up to the group winners get a second chance to claw their way up a loser's bracket and take one of eight additional spots, forming a group of 16 total (8 original winners, 8 former losers) for the finals. From then on it resumes basic single-elimination as normal.

If I failed at describing it you can try reading this.

...in my opinion this just might make tactical voting worse depending on how the matchups go, but we'll see. Anyway.

Here's who advances for certain from the first prelim group, securing the first spots in the tourney:

The full list, including who moves on to the second prelim round instead and who's been eliminated straightaway, can be found here, as it will each day of the first prelims.

At least Kuroneko is in this but I dont see Kuroyukihime in it. So fuck this list.
Also why does everyone like that Saki girl so much?

Rescue Me!

Upskirt aside, everyone wants the MC, and even fantasizes about him violating him, although everything is consistent with him not lasting very long.

We have the loli sister, the "maid" the yandere, and the other fuck. Whole bunch of titties for softcore porn. Actual source probably doesn't get any lewder than the OVA so meh.

EDIT: I swear to god, every time I type a word in it that has "cue" in it, I end up writing Cure first.

Every time I see impressions of this, I can't help think of the other show called Rescue Me. Except that one aint porn, its a spinoff of yukikaze.

Naruto Shippuden - Episode 322 - Madara Uchiha

Well that was an intense episode that made the filler feel so worth it. Really hyped for all the things upcoming for Madara to do. For this episode his dance was one of his many great parts, that Susano'o
it really had six arms and then could do three faces like that? and then the Meteorite part, two of them even. Somehow it made Naruto seem weak (especially when Rasenshurikan was absorbed

With the hype you keep giving this, if this somehow fails me, this is entirely your fault.

Utena doesnt fail you. You fail it.

I give this 5 lewd Minakos out of 5. Watch this, trejo!

This is truly terrible news. My condolences go out to his friends and my family.

SE Lain is one of my favorite animes of all time and maybe it's finally time for me to look into Kino's Journey.

First Dream Machine gets taken away from us and now Despera too? It's just not fair. :(

Thats really sad to hear. Kino's journey is one of my all time favorites that I recommend an awful lot and it was really special. That director had serious talent. Even to hold a crazy show like Lain together in some kind of sensible way. the world lost a great talent.
So this means no Despera ever.

That's really bad about Nakamura, I liked Lain quite a bit. Haven't rewatched it in forever though, no idea if it holds up. RIP.

It does. It is way more relevant now actually.

The class finally has a reason to be scared, and even the gang have their own. lol

Not that the show has ever been clear on question of whether they actually qualify for the frog curse.

Hmm... For some reason Ringo reminds me of Hajime from Gatchaman Crowds there.

I really don't know why, but this can only be a wonderful thing.

But Ringo is actually an enjoyable character while Hajime is just eugh so the comparison makes no sense.

Kuroyukihime is in prelim group 6.

Well thats kind of a relief. but fuck Saimoe anyway.

Hmm... For some reason Ringo reminds me of Hajime from Gatchaman Crowds there.

I really don't know why, but this can only be a wonderful thing.

Because they are both similar looking brown haired Genki girls. Thats why I love them! Especially Ringo! Shes batshit insane in the best way.
