Fresh Pretty Cure: 45 - 50 (END)

Ok... that's the quickest I've gone through 50 episodes, like, ever.

So...
We have the obligitory villian face turn, the last minute power up, the power of friendship and happiness. I think we're good!

In all seriousness, I think I would rank Fresh higher than Suite, but lower than Smile, so making my list so far....

Heartcatch
Smile
Fresh
Suite
DokiDoki (Incomplete)

Maybe I'll do a bigger writeup, maybe not, but a few days rest, then on to Yes! Precure 5.

There is also a second PV

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnfeVrAAS2k#t=21

(or was it already posted?)

What a contrast between the action heavy PV and the more like SoL looking CM.

Voices I instantly recognised in this PV and thought "I like that guy": Suzuki Tatsuhisa.

Most of my newfound appreciation for his voice probably comes from him voicing Hasebe (aka. the best character in the history of anything ever) in Servant x Service, but come to think of it, I really liked him as Haru in Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun as well, and he's also a big part of why Makoto comes across as so likable in Free!

Gotta keep an eye out (well, an ear out?) for him in future.

If it's about hot-dog stands, the Empire clearly has the better offers.

The start of this episode was basically what I picture an AnimeGAF meet would be like. Rest was pretty weird and seemingly unrelated to the rest of the show until they
revealed that the Shounen Bat copycat was an online friend of theirs.
5 more episodes now. Things are getting interesting. This episode was hilarious.

Wasnt that episode "happy family planning"?

I was bored, so I watched this. Sawako's always got that really weird look on her face. And Kazehaya-kun is super dreamy and whatnot.

To Aru Majutsu no Index Movie - The Miracle of Endymion

I forgotten how damn good J.C.staff is with their background porn art of Academy City, its so damn beautiful.

Overall I'm half please and half pissed about this movie.

I'm happy to see the return of Touma and gang with high production and lots of action although Touma got the least action of them all with a disappointing punch and a weak villain.

But I'm pissed that the writing for the movie is terrible since there were alot of jarring scenes which question how or what happen, Hiroyuki Yoshino has proven to be the worst script adaptation writer ever, butchering the script by Kamachi by cutting alot of stuff out and I'm not really into this whole idol singing gig. In fact the concerts scenes should be cut out/shorten to fill in more important scenes instead but nooooo yoshino just had to cut them out for idol pandering.

6/10

I thought the 1st season was ok and worth a watch, but I dropped the 2nd after 1 or 2 episodes.

Yeah I just spent another 300 preordering stuff and most of it was Sentai filmworks >_

Also, the first of the "cheaper" Fate/Zero BD boxes is out on Nov 5, and that's another $150 right there.

Yes! Precure 5 - 47

Well, that didn't go very well.

With the Dream Collet stolen, the Cures are at a bit of a loose end. It seems certain that Desperaia will use the Collet at any moment, and once she does, that'll be the end of that - her wish will be granted and the Collet will be rendered useless. Worse still, they don't even have any way of attempting to stop her, since they have no method of travelling to the Nightmare realm.

Despite all this, Nozomi refuses to give up hope (that's kind of her thing, after all) and convinces the other Cures to go out and start shouting at the sky for the Nightmare folks to give the Collet back. As it turns out, their very refusal to abandon hope is itself irritating Desperaia so much that she decides against using the Collet right away, instead sending Kawarino to make them feel true despair first.

So Kawarino drags the Cures back to the good old Nightmare colosseum to force them into submission with his own strength. His true form looks...a bit silly, if I'm entirely honest, but its strength is the real deal. Its tails effortlessly absorb all of the Cures' attacks and direct that energy straight back at them. The one attack the Cures don't get to use is Divebomb Destruction, because Milk is in no state to help out - she's still feeling absolutely crushed by the guilt of having personally delivered the Collet straight into Kawarino's hands. Kawarino, of course, wastes no time taking advantage of this emotional weakness, and uses the opportunity to force a Despair Mask onto Milk's face. (Have I ever mentioned that Kawarino is an ass?)

And then Desperaia decides this would be a good time to give the Cures their final taste of despair by using the Dream Collet to grant herself eternal life, right before their eyes. The Dream Collet turns to stone, its power exhausted, and Desperaia finally emerges from beneath her mask, revitalised and ready to fill the world with despair.

Looks like there wasn't anything particularly special hidden underneath her mask, incidentally. Oh well. Can't have everything.

So yeah. Everything the Cures have built up over the entire series has been irrevocably lost, Kawarino is still at full power and too strong for the Cures to defeat, Desperaia has been rendered immortal, and Milk has succumbed to the dark side. It's going to take an awful lot of Power of Hope and Friendship to salvage a happy ending out of this mess.

You can double spoiler tag? Well son of a bitch...

Psch, double spoiler tags are old hat.

Why not
go for
triple,
quadruple,
quintuple,
or
even
more
spoiler
tags
still?
Build
a
veritable
mountain
of
them!
...Okay,
I think
that might
be enough.
Let's
wind
them
back
down,
shall
we?
Nearly there...
Just a bit further...
Three more...
Two...
There! I think that should do it.

Fucking MAL is still down.

I know right?

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 14

Usagi still has Kunzite's hair in her. Mamoru carries her to Ami's house, and she watches over her. Ami's feelings is clearly the strongest since she's with Usagi the most. dat girls love.

This is strangely very captivating.

Also Artemis looks worse than Luna in this. I guess white cats just don't look as good animated in 3D.

Due to my laptop being lame and whatnot, I just update Hummingbird on a weekly basis (basically after Doki Doki Precure) since it's a pain in the ass to use otherwise. October can't come soon enough.

I only care that it's still down because I put effort into my list and I don't want to lose it. Otherwise, Hummingbird is working satisfactory to me.

1st time I want to access it in months, and not even for my own list but to read impressions for a movie, and it's down for multiple days.

Yeah, apparently somebody's been DDOSing their servers. Quite rude =/

Yes! Precure 5 - 48

Okay, I have to admit that was a pretty nice little twist.

There may not have been any particular secret hidden behind Desparaia's mask...but there was behind the masks of every other masked member of the Nightmare organisation! Turns out they were all the former citizens of the Palmier Kingdom, imprisoned in their own despair by the villains after their country was destroyed. Which makes an awful lot of sense, actually.

And it seems fitting that revealing this information turned out to be Kawarino's downfall - he was never able to understand the nature of hope and how it could prevail over despair, so he didn't see the foolishness of revealing to Coco and Nuts the true fate of their former subjects. The revelation that he thought would crush them instead gave them hope - and that hope was enough to break the curse of despair on all involved, and give the Cures the strength to take down Kawarino for good with an extra-powerful DIVEBOMB DESTRUCTION ATTAAAAAAAACK!

With the people of the Palmier Kingdom safe, there's no longer any need for the Dream Collet, and the final Nightmare member, Kawarino, is out of the way. That just leaves Desperaia herself to defeat. I'm sure immortality's not all it's cracked up to be - one last episode should be enough to do it!

What a contrast between the action heavy PV and the more like SoL looking CM.

It looks much better than their three previous series, except for some strange purples here and there.
Can't see much of the action but at least it seems to have enough instances of it.
The story will probably still be pretty bad, but whatever.
