Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 15

Way to go, not that it matters because he found out not too long ago thanks to mirrors.

But they have bonding over stealing jewels from other men, meanwhile everyone else is looking for a Youma
and it wasn't the one that Sailor Moon took down after it cut Mamoru.

Looks like the Naru and Ami drama will get attention... NEXT TIME.

Kaicho wa Maid-sama 1

Decided not to go with that other show I watched earlier today (Kimi Ni Todoke, I think) because there was an episode about a stray puppy coming up when I didn't care all that much for the first episode, so I switched to this cause it looked more fun.

Misaki needs to stop being so uptight, though I get why she is. And the guy is pretty creepy, coming to watch her at the maid cafe all that time, and then requesting she be his personal maid for a day to repay for a scarf he gave her and for taking care of her when she passed out at work. Whatever though, love and shit.

So did AnimeGAF reach its post rate ceiling? Are we declining towards a more reasonable equilibrium? This thread has lasted well over a month now.

I also am thinking that. I also expected to be more far along today instead of where we're currently at right now since we need a new OT soon.

AnimeGaf has become too top-heavy. All the AAA blockbuster posters have squeezed out the B posters and the entire thread is on decline.

While you intended this to be a joke, I think there is some truth to it in that the crazy speed the thread used to run at drove out the more casual posters and all that's left are the insane ones like us who keep up constantly.

Wouldn't mind a slower paced thread though, like... I think that happened for a few days last week.

Was easy to concentrate on other things without feeling like there's a lot to catch up with.

Gurren Lagann 22

First
Gurren Lagann combined with the giant Arch Gurren to make Arch-Gurren Lagann and rip a hole in the space-time continuum to destroy the Anti-Spiral ships.
Then Simon went and used his drill to
control Spiral King's old ship. And when I say "Spiral King's old ship", I mean, THE FUCKING MOON! HOLY SHIT!!!!!
And that was just one episode; there's still five left! What the hell could possibly happen? I know the Anti-Spiral fleet is coming in full force, but...shit, how are they gonna top that?! Well it involves saving Nia, so if it's going to take grabbing the sun and flinging it at the fleet to wipe them out, Simon will fucking do it, dammit.

I'm done for tonight. My penis isn't ready.

God I want TTGL to go on Toonami.

I've seen it two times (+ 1 movie) but I've never had a group viewing experience with it and I think it could be amaaaaaazinggggggg

Maid-sama is so terrible though. :(

Tamayura?
The only answer.

(Why aren't you watching it?!)

so, looks like bandai is making something involving Girls and tanks :p

I actually first watched it with some friends. One of my friends was house-sitting for his dad, and he invited some people over so it wouldn't be boring as fuck. We marathoned it in two sittings.

It was arguably one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. It is the anime for group viewing, IMHO.

Having gone through the K-On! movie disc, short of an audio commentary, it's probably the most packed anime disc that I've seen. They threw in TV specials going through all the songs, a special introducing the movie on TBS, a Universal Studios premiere event, a movie premiere event, a dubbing session chat, and of course Yamada's trip to London. I think each of the features are 20-30 minutes too.

If you like the seiyuus, this is probably all the PR they did for the movie on TV on one disc. lol

I really have no idea how Sentai decides to spend its resources on licensing and extras. Maybe this all came as a package, or someone there is a big K-On fan, but getting all these random PR junket things AND subbing them is kind of hilarious.

Well I guess if they were gonna spend so much procuring the movie they may as well spend the extra dollop and get some extras.

Unfortunately, some of us do actually have to work.

Yeah.
Cute costs money.

Hayao Miyazaki's retirement press conference will be streamed live tomorrow 2PM JST on Nico nico douga. Yes, it's all in Japanese. No, there won't be subtitles.

End of season + boring shows = why post.

I watched more Rozen Maiden Zuruckwhatever. Excuse my lack of umlauts. It's pretty neat after the superfluous and off-putting opening episode. The pacing on it is really strong.

Also the music in Stella C3 wasn't a fluke. It has just been phenomenal throughout, too bad the material can't really keep up.

no interest unless goro is there and hosoda jumps out of a cake to knock him down with a steel chair as the crowd goes wild

I realize its not likely anymore but I wish Ghibli would make an offer to Hosoda to do something with the guarantee that they'd keep Katsuya Kondo away from him.

I think if Ghibli wants new directors, it would be better to try to promote some of their in-house staff or look at other promising directors; Hosoda has gone big already and he can secure funding for whatever project he wants, trying to direct something under the Ghibli name would just bring a slew of unneeded expectations and pressures. It'd be better for us, too, if he just keeps doing his thing and Ghibli brings up someone else (alternatively they can stop making features altogether :p).
