It isn't THAT horribly terrible, but it is plainly terrible. I legit like the OP though.
First arc was the best, Kagetane Hiruko is the best thing about the show.
I think this is the third or fourth time I have responded like this.

I definitely wanted a longer battle in that first arc, haha. But yeah, I enjoyed that one out of the first two.
Going to marathon the last 3 episodes soon and see how this one goes.

This ep was actually good imo, better than the first 2. There's not much to say other than why the hell are you blurring meat being eaten from a plate, like any other meat.
Actually, this got me thinking. Do they have to eat the flesh raw? Can't they make a BBQ using human meat?

This was a great series about a group of misguided youth just after the end of World War II in Japan. All of their lives were somehow affected by the war be it family losses, money problems or PTSD. Most of the characters were interesting and well developed. Soldier and Cabbage were the only two characters who did not get a complete back story and we're left to the sidelines for most of the anime. It's a shame because both of them seemed like they could have been more interesting if they had been given more screen time.
There are a lot of feel good moments in this anime and it does them extremely well. It's a shame the second half of the anime was weaker after the boys leave the disciplinary school. If it had ended at episode 14 it would probably be one of my top anime.
The OP and END were both great and I've been introduced to a new band I may follow.
Due to the much weaker second half, I'll give this series a 8/10. A great ride for those interested in the darker side of Japan post WWII. Special thanks to Mokoi for the recommendation.
