Mikorin is what Free tried so desperately to achieve and yet never did: Moe Man (instead they stumbled into creating the Perfect Man, Makoto). Sawashiro is perfect as Seo. I don't find the anime as funny as the comic, but there's a nice flow to it missing from the four-panel setup of the latter. It's a high quality adaptation that stands on its own.

Terror in Resonance 1 - Falling

This show does a fantastic job of capturing the terror of bombings in places no one would think of. Gives me a 9/11 vibe.

But yeah this was probably the best start to any anime this season. Real stoked to see the next episode. Which I will be able to next week. :/

Man, if it wasn't for the fucking awful fairy voices, I think Coco and Nuts could've ranked as high tier fairies. I am right behind this. I am right behind this shit so hard, and quite frankly, I wish this was actually done more.

To bring us to speed, Nozomi is generally considered dumb because she doesn't like to study. Her 4 friends tried to do that, but she wasn't INTERESTED! And they acted like jackasses to the point that she said fuck this I'm out. NUTS LAYS THE TRUTH AND COCO SPREADS OUT THE REALITY!

I'm seriously right behind this, primarily because... I can't stand things like homework, because that is the last thing I want to do when I'm away from a work place. Do things when I want, if I want! Not to mention if a teaching method doesn't click with you, maintaining interest is very difficult to do. "Just force yourself to do it". Hey, fuck you.

I'm actually somewhat surprised that people liked the 2nd episode of Terror in Resonance. So much of it is info dumping and solving a basic riddle.

Fresh Precure and Splash Star are very much worth checking out. Especially since both of them have a side character cast that pretty much craps over what's listed there (especially Fresh).

YMMV on a lot of other ones.

Getting back into The Eccentric Family after a bit of a break. Just watched Episode 8-The Day of Dad's Departure. Man, this show is so good, such strong emotions and wonderful atmosphere.

I wasn't feeling that show till about 4 or so episodes in. It has its own unique flavor and tone that makes it stand out from the usual anime dressing. Came to really appreciate it and became one of my favorite anime from last year.

So Locodol looks like something I would like.

Eureka Seven - 26

In all honesty, I was expecting more.

As mecha anime goes, this one qualifies as

"The hero's epic comeback episode"

I can understand that a lot of people like this episode for being just that, but I've seen this thing happen in other anime much better with other characters. Noriko had a better one. Simon had a better one.

That's not to say this episode was bad. No sir. I just wanted more of a "WOW" moment.

But there's still the other half of the show to go, so I might still get that.
