Well, we do now how to call stuff out for being shitty. That's always made us somewhat of an unusual venue for discussing anime.
We don't just crap on stuff though, there's usually an attempt to have a reasonable discussion about whatever is airing and if there's positive and negative things to be said then hopefully they're all come up. Considering the variety of opinions here that tends to be the case anyway.

First off I have little to no connection to the original series. I watched it but I remember very little about it.
I thought it was a pretty good first episode, CGI aside. I'm impressed Toei managed to actually make a pretty good looking show. Usagi seems kind of annoying, but I hope it will change. And it seems to be using the good ol' Clark Kent tradition of no one knowing who the superhero is because they changed like one accessory on their wardrobe.

It's weird to hear Bunny speaking japanese and ... kinda annoying. This goes right in the childhood. This show is nice n all and while I can live with the upped shoujo (lol, Luna), I can't ignore the language. This is so wrong!!

I'm wondering why, in society where anyone you meet on the street could be a flesh eating monster immune to sharp objects and with unknown powers, some how the world is carrying on basically as normal and people on TV are chatting about it like it's an everyday phenomenon. It would be as if the city you live in was filled with super-powered murderers (who could be anyone you meet) and nothing really changed? That doesn't seem very likely.
Maybe there'll be some world building that'll come how to explain how this is "normal" and why the entire army isn't roaming about trying to stomp out these literal monsters.

This war could have mostly been avoided if he only yelled out "MISSILE INCOMING" to try and get peoples attention and maybe get the car out of there faster...also you'd think there would be snipers high on the rooftops for such an important event like the princess of a civilization that is able to destroy half of your moon coming who would have been able to see said missiles incoming.
Looks like a good series so far though. Glad I thought twice and picked it up.

This was super fucking good. Strongest opening in any Urobuchi show. Aoki da gawd. Even using Sawano correctly.
The direction in this was absolutely top notch. There are so many smaller bits of characterization done just through how the characters act visually.

Villain looks like a terminator (who's name is DEATH GUN AHAHAHAH). Lots of slow mo bullet shots. Animations looks pretty good.

Laughed at the lady angrily coughing at them talking about dead corpses in a restaurant. Also laughed pretty hard at Kirito's imagination of someone shooting a bullet out of an ethernet cable slot

There's a little bit of wonky exposition but the rest of AZ is fucking golden.
It's not so much the script but the direction.

pretty good start, as far as peaking interests go it was really good. that's what a first ep should be really, solid direction overall and establishes everything well.
a couple of the char designs are iffy otherwise looks pretty clean and good. I want to post some caps but can't right now. music didn't seem sucky to me, good enough.

Surprisingly earthy and toned down for something that has the word shonen right in the title. It is also more palatable then Bakamatsu Rock as a small consolation. Still, I feel like I am watching Joey Fatone attempt to form One Direction here. I may give this a few more episodes to win me over.

That was a pretty good episode, I mean visually it looks great especially from Studio Pierrot. The premise seems interesting so I'm definitely gonna watch it through the end. The little music at the end was nice. Aside from all that I have to say the date scene with the MC and girl reminded me the first ep of High school DXD. Which made me laugh a bit since I knew what was gonna happen. Overall can't wait for the next ep.

See I didn't think that far ahead I just thought it was really annoying to have a protagonist who's supposed to be the lens for the audience abide by his dumb pre-written archetype so much that it completely cheapens what is the most pivotal moment in the episode.
Show has some potential and I like what has been set up but the first episode didn't impress me that much.
He's Kirei essentially. He's not supposed to be a 'lens' for the audience in that you're not supposed to relate to him. That's closer to Sloane.

SHONEN HOLLYWOOD HOLLY STAGE FOR 49- Episode 1 We're Self-Conscious
One of the best starts to the season with one of the better ops so far. The anime is a nice change from the other anime we had with these new teens who dont really have much of a background in the field struggling and learning what it means to be an idol. Some parts were really embarrassing especially their introduction but very funny and at least shows everyone isnt perfect from day one.

Ha you got that impression too. I knew it was going to happen, but damm they really were similar scenarios. Also yeah I really that song they played. Want the full version to be released already.
