SHONEN HOLLYWOOD HOLLY STAGE FOR 49- Episode 1 We're Self-Conscious
One of the best starts to the season with one of the better ops so far. The anime is a nice change from the other anime we had with these new teens who dont really have much of a background in the field struggling and learning what it means to be an idol. Some parts were really embarrassing especially their introduction but very funny and at least shows everyone isnt perfect from day one.
Kira and Daiki best.
This season seems like its going to be a great one for you

A friend watched the Terror in Resonance ep1-2 preview and managed to get the credits too. The ending animation is a solo effort by Koike.

Aldnoah Zero 01
Maybe it's because Korra set an example last week, but I feel like this show needed to open with a two-parter or an extended first episode a la Fate/Zero. As it is, we got most of our backstory and immediate setup, but got cut off just as things started to happen. You should always leave 'em wanting more, but this is a bit too much (too little?). We don't even know how the CG robots look yet; say what you will about Argevollen, but at least we learned that much from the first episode.

The advance buzz on Twitter from those at the French premiere seems good to excellent but there's very little concrete detail on any of the Twitter accounts I've looked at. I hope someone gives more feedback from the US showing!

Pretty good opening ep ,but sadly the first half has alot of clunky exposition. I really wish anime in general could get better at this. To be completely honest I would be fine with a 2 minute narration at the beginning laying the background info a la gundam then these really forced scenes of exposition. That only works if you spread that info out during the show, not cram it into every other scene in the first 15 minutes as that just makes it really transparent.
Still hyped for this show.

I knew I was going to love this fucking show. God damn easily the best opening episode of the season so far.
And dat OST on man. I'm glad some stuff hasn't been completely revealed, I love tension build up to robot fights, also it has one of my favorite kind of characters: 'Old' drunk war vet who knows what's really up.

These antagonists remind me a lot of the Bravely Default villains. I won't be surprised when they go on killing sprees or when they start to act crazy. Can't wait for the next episode.

Really felt sad for Shizuku here. Looks like Miyuki is even more overpowered than Tatsuya. The interaction between Honoka and Shizuku was executed well also.
The Student council is constantly forcing Tatsuya to take care of their problems. Maybe he's intimidated by Juumonji.
Hope we get to see Masaki in action soon.

Most of the scenes with Kirito and Asuna talking in the real world were ZZZZZZ at least the set up/premise is better then the fairy dance arc and the new villain looks really cool. I do like that despite this being a gun game Kirito is going to use a sword to wreck fools if the OP is any indication.

This was good, I'm in. My only complaints are the characters, not fond of a no emotions protag, but I guess that's better than MC's like Haruto. No real memorable characters, but it's just the first episode so I hope they grow on me.

Elaborating, it benefits from the short format as it allows the innuendo and misunderstandings to be dropped before they overstay their welcome which lets a somewhat cheap adult comedy like this fly.
So what is this show about then? It is basically about a clumsy girl and her sex misunderstandings because of her not grasping basic social etiquette. (possibly because her single father is a porn producer)
It's dumb, but that's also why it works.. Is it great? Perhaps not, it's a pretty shallow comedy, but it is good enough to be entertaining for its short run and that's what's really important.
Overall this wasn't too bad for a short series which I suppose is not normally what someone should be asking.

This wasn't the type of horror i was expecting. I found myself laughing through most of the tense scenes it might as well be a black comedy. There's this weird attitude with the Ghouls where they should be thought of as something terrifying yet it seems like the general populace don't give a shit. Like the actions of the female ghoul and the reaction from the two police officers didn't really make sense to me.
I think the three episode rule shall be in use for this. Not a very promising start.

It's actually a pretty decent show, I still preferred Eden of the East better since it's a similar idea to this.
The biggest issue with Mirai Nikki is that the fucking male lead is worst than Shinji.

Fucking loved this. It's definitely Fate/Zero with mechs. I'm kinda surprised it's an alternate reality timeline. I thought it was just set in the future. I really like the way the composite looks on this show. I guess Ei Aoki learned a thing or two while directing stuff at Ufotable. There's a really nice clean look to the scenes and the lighting looks very pleasant, especially in daylight. Good premise, cool robots, decent set of characters, and even the Sawano music didn't sound awful! <3

Meh, it was a rather by-the-numbers genre piece that does nothing new nor it reinvents something usual in a particularly compelling or creative manner. The characters are not characters, rather serving as pieces for delivering the plot. I stopped caring around the 3rd time that a character looked at nothing and started rambling over what the show will be about, of course ending every stale monologue with an opaque line that doesn't serve any purpose other than being ominous and filling time because there are no ideas worth exploring here.
I really disliked the composition of the shots too. The texture and colour in most shots was so uniform and lifeless that it became a bit tiresome to watch.
