New Game, Completed - Cornbread was right, this turned out to be a really fun watch. Glad I stuck around. If I have one complaint it's that I found Aoba's childhood friend, Nene, to be the weak link of the show and she ended up getting a disproportionate amount of focus in the second half.

SEIKAISURU KADO EPISODE 12 (Final Episode)

I see the anime community is pretty split. Though it seems like a 25/75 sort of thing. With 25% liking it and 75% hating it. Personally, I loved the ending. It was maybe a lot more flasher than I was expecting but I still enjoyed it.

Eh, whatever. It reminds me of Handa, though it is not as funny.

Nice to hear Koyasu at least, he feels kinda underutilized these days.

Uhm, yeah sometimes. It sorta depends on in what way they're bad. Like, fox spirit matchmaker is just the latest bad manhua Chinese anime that suffers the same faults as near all the others. So that was hard to talk about because I feel like I'm repeating myself.

Knight's will be easier to talk about because the issues I had weren't so clear cut, same with clean freak. Battle Girl will be tough since it's big issue is it's just so damned generic.

Generic bad is only when it's really exhausting since that just feels so repetitive. The worse it is the easier it is to review really.

Really heavy on exposition, not that it is alien to this series, but nevertheless it was nice. If the intro fight is anything close to what will follow, A-1 can certainly deliver. Also, Sawashiro Saber is too good.

Not even Sawashiro can sell me on yet another product of Shirou's Unlimited Saber Works... she isn't even an interesting character, and the author insisting on pushing her so freaking hard is something that doesn't sit well with me at all.

I mean, I might give it a try if the season's offerings are barren enough, but I've had enough of that waifu.

That makes sense. That's why you can get books of Ebert's reviews trashing bad movies, because lots of people love reading a reviewer rip into something they hate.

My brother is one of those people. Bought a Ebert book to read his loathed review for the original Godzilla if I recall correctly.

Fate/Apocrypha Episode 1:

Oh god, it is the the first episode of Fate/Zero all over again, maybe not as bad, but god damn is this heavy on the infodump. Also, pushing the grizzled old guy with the massive scar tissue as the MC would have made for a more compelling series I think.

I usually troll through some obviously bad anime just out of morbid curiosity, and I remember dropping this after the incest kiss during the second episode.

Not sure what made me re-watch, but I am glad I did. This show has no right to be as watchable as it is.

Not 'good', but I have done much worse with 4 Hours.

Ok, looks like there is a Kotomine Shirou(yes you read that right), I knew it was something like that

I agree that the hardest shows to talk about one way or another are ones without any kind of noticable "quirk" that lets you dig into it. Terrible shows and great ones alike are easy to write about, but the ones where I lose focus in the middle of episode two (aka halfway through my three-episode preview) are the worst, because I struggle to connect the reader to my experience. The only thing worse than being bad is being boring, at least for someone who writes about said material!

Half of it was just flashing people faces. Way too blatant they what to fill that time before the real matches start. At least it looks nice.

Tiger Mask W 38

Quality takes a great dip after last week's, still very fun to watch Haruna fight. I wouldn't mind a new series.

I plan on finding the time to see what the fuss is about one day, but as someone who has never watched any of either Fate or Monogatari: What am I missing exactly?

The softcore porn short? The spring anime from the same manga publisher (Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni...) never got licensed so I wouldn't expect Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono deshita to get licensed either.
