The softcore porn short? The spring anime from the same manga publisher (Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni...) never got licensed so I wouldn't expect Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono deshita to get licensed either.

Why will no one bring over the one anime each season that would be fun to try and review =/

But if I have Kongo and Darkness, is there really any point anymore?
Well, to be serious for a moment, speaking for Monogatari, the anime is basically if David Mamet and Winding Refn decided to make an anime together. It's deliberate dialog combined with deliberate obtuseness, creating interesting relationship dynamics between the various cast members in order to tell a story that is focused on themes of introspection and interiority.

Nothing surprises me anymore. This medium.
It's why we we're here though. Keep spinning the wheel of the worst. lol

I wonder if anyone tried to pick it up anyway, in an age when everything gets licensed. lol

Except Zegapain, I did another marathon.
Blue Gender was simply one of the best dystopian mecha I've seen. Solid writing and directing, action and violence where it needs be. A seinen series like few. Unforgotten.

Xamd: Lost Memories: Similar to Eureka 7 in a way, but with half the episodes and half the fun. Only animation and that Nausicaa character get a ten.

Southern Cross: Second part of Robotech. Weakest of the three but a good series on its own. Quite fun while it lasted but with an abrupt ending. No wonder Harmony Gold picked that series for their experiments.

Samurai Flamenco: I agree this is one of the last good series produced. Despite the unexpected turn of events after ep6, this did not detract from the topic of the series. An ode to superheroes.

Tried to watch Shirobako but I do not have the patience for meta-moe-rphosis after all these classics.

Interesting. I figured it was very talky but thanks, I think I have a decent idea of what I'd be getting into. Gotta finish my Gundam marathon first though! (On Turn A Gundam)

It's the only anime that made me wish I could understand Japanese, so that I could listen to the in character audio commentaries.
Yes, this is a show where every episode has at least one, if not two, commentaries where the characters talk about what is happening to them on screen. That's how important the dialog is in the show. lol

That sounds oddly appealing lol

Apparently the In This Corner of the World event at Anime Expo was capped 2 hours before it even started. They drastically underestimated how popular it was going to be.

What a well run expo.

I don't know how faithful of an adaptation the Knight's & Magic comic was, but the show just went through like 20 chapters (they're monthly 40+ pages) in the first episode.

I watched Kizumonogatari 1+2 at a film festival last year, part 1 was very wordy in the way that I don't like at all, just a lot of nonsense and things that sound really silly when delivered in that tone, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade, hmmm okay. I understand that this is probably part and parcel with the series and its sense of humour which is fine.

The second was more action oriented but I didn't really care for the action itself, it just didn't carry any weight with me, emotional or otherwise and the spectacle aspect of it didn't draw me in either. It overall had a nice presentation and style to it, a sense of gravitas graced every scene, it demands attention from the first frame but as somebody whom had no prerequisite knowledge of the series, it just felt like I was slapped across the face a bunch with a fish. Lots of exposition but nothing that made me care for the characters or the world. It didn't come across as something that cared to introduce new people to its world and instead just strutted its thing which I admire to a degree, its confidence was palpable. If you were a fan of the series going in you probably loved it, the crowd seemed to do so, but I was just left in the dust. I wasn't confused, it wasn't indecipherable, just not friendly to somebody new. It was surface level entertaining for me, but for people in the know and in tune with its mannerisms I'm sure they'd get more out of it.

My Hero Academia 26

Umakoshi sure didn't touch this episode. It looked a lot worse than the previous episode outsourced to Nomad. I can understand why the staff would decide to sacrifice a transition episode like this in which little happens, but it still hurts to watch something so thoroughly mediocre. The scriptwriting was rather awkward as well, relying on a lot of clunky narration from Midoriya to bluntly deliver the story.

Next episode preview didn't look too hot either.

Little Witch Academia 01

So this pretty good and funny so far. Even the dub is pretty good, not sure if I want to continue with that or JP

Damn you and your facts.

So it's just really the same studio and the Pillows returning?

It's not the same studio. I mean, technically Production I.G. co-produced the original FLCL but Gainax was the studio actually spearheading the animation, and Gainax is beyond dead at this point. The only two staff members (besides The Pillows) who have been listed as returning are Tsurumaki and Sadamoto, but Tsurumaki is just a "Supervisor", which means he might not be doing anything but lending his name for promotional purposes, and Sadamoto is just "Original Character Design", which means they're just reusing some of his original FLCL characters because Sadamoto doesn't actually draw anymore.

The hell is Princess Principal

This apparently: The "spy action" series follows five girls in 19th century London, a city within the Albion Kingdom divided into east and west by a large wall. The girls serve as undercover spies enrolled as students at the prestigious Queen's Mayfair school. The girls make use of their individual abilities to remain active in the underground world of disguise, espionage, infiltration, and car chases.

Tragic victim of fan death
No that's not fixed because Monogatari is good~

Plz. Monogatari is just as shit as Fate except one tries to come off as sophisticated and fanciful when it's not and the other tries to think it's deep and philosophical when it's not. both are shit equally.

Finished Major today, wew what a ride. The last season should have been about half as long and then they could have added in all of the OVAs and it would have been fine. Oh well, what a nice show.

Now I am ready for some Ballroom

I'm not interested in Amemiya or Imaishi, but I'm interested in getting more information about Darling.
