Based on the evidence brought forth in the post, I can concede with my comments with regards to the quality of the image. However, that still leaves my complaint with regards to the mixing in modern presentational elements with the 'authentic' effect they were going for.

They have cute moé girls running around. They're not trying to be that authentic.

Speaking of, they interviewed Megumi Igarashi and talked about her vagina art and her arrest for distributing oscenities:

I like the drawing at least!

Pretty good episode. Yoshino had it pretty tough with those questions in the beginning, she tried to hang in there though and really made an effort to learn more about the town after that. The town is pretty indifferent about making improvements though since they're content without tourists, that's going to be quite a task to turn that around. However, seems like Yoshino has her mind set to stay and officially getting the girls to help, feels like the fitting end of a prologue.

I am specifically referring to the 'news reel' film segment which has it's own distinct visual and directorial style compared to the rest of the episode.

But it's a deep parable about how deep down inside, all Asians wish they were Scarlett Johansson.

Unrelated, but I really wanted this movie to be good. After seeing ScarJo in Under the Skin, I was really reassured that she was a good actor being directed in poor parts. Under the Skin, Match Point, Lost in Translation, all excellent films. Under the Skin even has similar underlying themes to GitS. I still think she was a good choice barring any of the politics of Hollywood. The fact that it sucks so much hurts doubly since it definitely won't do anything for ScarJo's street cred.

Yoriko Mizushiro has the best vagina art. It's a shame I can't find any of her actual shorts online. They have been my favorite parts of the indie animation scene in recent years.

The show repeatedly breaks its own tone, I don't think they were that concerned about how strict of a portrayal they were going for. Having things like zoom-ins or off-center camera shots are extremely minor details.

Kizumonogatari part 3

That was just amazing. That final fight was one of the best fights I've seen in anime. Also makes me want to rewatch the series now knowing how it all began.

That's just weird then. Oh well, at least fansubbers haven't completely died.
I belive symphogear wasn't offically subbed until GX, but then they subbed all seasons at once.

Also the series makes a ton of money in japan, but not so much in the west.
Maybe the licence is just too expensive right now.

The original series of Symphogear was actually streamed as it aired on Nico Videos short-lived attempt to get into the English language simulcast game.

What now?

She sent a scan of her vagina to her Kickstarter backers and was arrested.

I tried really hard to meet her at Lisbon, but I honestly think she tried really hard to avoid me. It was the first time I've ever felt like someone was actively running away from me. i tried every connection I had. ;;
Vagina art is hard to catch? lol

Question: What's the release order of the monogataris?

Quickly grabbed this from elsewhere, but I think it's right:

Bakemonogatari: 15 episodes long

Nisemonogatari: 11 episodes long

Nekomonogatari:Kuro: 4 episodes long

Monogatari Series Second Season: 26 episodes long

Hanamonogatari: 5 episodes long

Tsukimonogatari: 4 episodes long

Owarimonogatari (pt. 1): 12 episodes long

Koyomimonogatari: 12 episodes long

Kizumonogatari: 3 part film
Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu-hen (2016)
Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen (2016)
Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen (2016)

Got a lot of free time recently so I decided to watch some anime that I couldn't watch before.

Your Lie In April - This left me in a trainwreck. The music really hits hard. Like fuck! I will remember this anime fondly.

Erased - Very intriguing but I kinda feel it's felt rushed towards the end. Sad that protag didn't get his childhood friend.

I guess it was just S2 then, but I'm sure that the anime got fan subs before the current season.

Yup, second season wasn't made available anywhere prior to it going up on CR alongside the third, and I'm pretty sure the original was probably unavailable by the time the second even aired as well given how much of a disaster Nicos streaming attempts ended up panning out as.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 01

I'm in this to see how much smarter than his classmates the MC will be presented as and how many girls want his dick because of it. Current girls on his dick count is 2.

Hajimete no Gal 01

This show is trashy and I normally like trashy shows, but the MC and his friends are so fucking unlikable that I don't think I want to watch another episode.

Sakura Quest 15

You know this isn't the most engaging show or amusing, but the stories and the problems Yoshi and the other girls are dealing with keep me interested. I have some thoughts about the old man and his issues with the drying pond.

When does that famous YYH tournament arc begin? Because if it's far away (am at like ep18) I don't think I'll still be able to enjoy that, even if that arc is as good as people say. Right now the only thing I like is the art direction.

26 is set up, 27 is journey there, 28 is first fight.

Sakarada Reset ep.15

Suma, that was just plain cruel to say to Kei. Let him go get Haruka and stop being salty about him rejecting you!

Anyhow, the ending of the arc was alright and made all parties happy, except Kei, of course, because he had to reset everything again after progress was made...

Souma is shaping up to be the final villain here, isn't she?

And the trilogy is over... The story that started everything couldn't really have any better treatment than this. All of the movies are worth watching, even if someone isn't a big fan of Monogatari, and they're really a huge visual treat. The third one continues with a lot of playful dialogues, a very cool fight full of great animation cuts and, of course, the conclusion to the "wound story", as it succeeds in adapting the melancholy of the book's last few chapters.

Oh, and while the 3rd movie had undoubtedly plenty of amazing scenes,
the one about Araragi realizing that Kiss-shot is eating a human
was just immeasurably surreal, I loved everything about it.
Well, and there's the Hanekawa scene after that.

Hanekawa's the best.

GAMERS! Episode 1

I think having such low expectations helped me liking the first episode, i'm interested to see where this is going since it didn't go the way i though it would (how normally goes i mean).

guilty gear!! and they show bits of gameplay too

Aho Girl ep 1-2

Wow this is dumb and violent but the violence is so over the top it hits Tom and Jerry territory for me so I'm cool with it. Aho Girl the Molester I am way less into but I loved the bit where they ripped the piss out of the straight man for being an angry, friendless loser too. So I'll keep watching and hope they don't decide that the molestation stuff is where the gold is.

What a grand finale. Everyone got to shine with the teamwork but special props to Akko. She put on an incredible show pulling off all those moves, really came a long way since the beginning. The very final scene was sweet but could have lasted just a bit longer. Overall, this was a wonderful show. Remember when the first OVA came out and wondered how good it would be if it tuned into a TV series and it took a while but they came through with something great. It’s not perfect though, besides Ursula, Holbrook, and maybe Finnelan the professors of Luna Nova don’t have much of presence and when they were there too often they took the backseat so Diana’s smarts could be showed off. Some of the later heavy plot stuff wasn’t that great or rather predictable though it was still entertaining to watch. Akko’s energetic personality and her interaction with her friends was one of the the best things about this. Just seeing them goof around when things weren’t plot heavy was great. Also, the show had a ton of gorgeous moments. Another season of this would be excellent, seems like there is a lot left to explore and show. Just following Akko and co on their wild adventures again would be good.

Eureka Seven: AO 3-4

This soundtrack is good, and the sloth continues to be cute. Elena Peoples seems like a more blatant version of Mari Makinami Illustrious, and I'm okay with that. Aliens are bad, adults are bad, authorites are bad... it's a mecha series alright. I see Ao adheres to the Captain Okita school of combat strategy, he must be brooding over his radical hair. So they're excavating energy core thingies from the scub coral? Perhaps scub corals are natural nuclear power plants. Activist rallies with reggae because fossil fuels I guess.

The soundtrack is really awesome especially OP Signal Alart but many other songs, and also Hemenway song Escape.

Also Ao Fukai is the best character.

Yes, she is being really shady about her motives and the fact that she can alter the present to match the future is a little OP. She is also toying with Kei hardcore by messing with Haruki.. That final scene was pretty brutal, shoving it in his face, that he lost progression with her....

Yup, extremely dumb, however, it make me laugh like an idiot at the same time, so.....

Just found out Tsurezure Children is half length, all the more reason to pick it.

It's pretty well done!
