Super Mario 3D World - Introduction video

this looks amazing, ESPECIALLY the levels they showed at the end.

Incredible how my first reaction (when Nintendo announced this game) was "meh". Now I'm really hyped - and I don't even own a WiiU!

I feel like I have to apologize in every thread about this now, because god. Blows me away each time I get a new look at it.

I can't wait.
 
If everyone can carry on ignoring the Wii U for just a little bit and not tell the retailers in the UK so we can get one more amazing sale, my wallet would really appreciate it.
 
Interesting. This vid definately gives a clear indication of what the game is like.
Looks like fun, graphics and animations are nice, but still disappointing in theory that it looks like something scaled down and done on a tighter budget than something like Galaxy.
 
I swore I would go on a blackout for the first time with a mario game, so I am not clicking on that link. But you mofos are making it too haaard! Most anticipated fall game by faaaaaaaar.

You're the one spouting off certainties. 3D Land was clearly severely limited by its platform. This game is clearly under no such restrictions. The level design and gameplay looks like the most amazing in a 3D Mario yet.
 
This game is what sold me on the WiiU. Once the PlayStation 4 release is over with and things have calmed down, I'll definitely be grabbing a WiiU along with this game and The Wonderful 101.

Absolutely love all the power-ups and the level design looks slick as hell! Also obligatory dat lighting and dat colour.

Yeah I think he runs the fastest. Peach can float/double jump? And Luigi has his higher jump.

I get you aesthetically. He looks out of place, but hey they need four players somehow! :p

Believe it or not, this is a subjective opinion and a lot of people prefer the core of 3D Land even if it never hits the highs that Galaxy did.

This is its chance to shine.

It's just how you say Peach in Japanese. Japanese syllables are mostly consonant + vowel combos, so you can't just say the 'ch' sound on it's own.
 
And someone should do a comparison of the water in Mario Sunshine to the water in this game, which I think in particular looks noticeably unimpressive. Everything else looks great though
 
4:30 was a horrible tease.

Game looks great, and I'm glad it shows much, much more character now than it did around E3. My one concern is the issue I had with the E3 demo, which I can see in a few spots... with a group of four players, because of her slower running speed, playing Peach is a bit more of a struggle to keep up with the group.
 
I keep thinking "Why didn't they show THIS at E3?" I doubt as many people (like me) would have been disappointed if more of this were in the trailer shown a few months ago. >>;
 
Hope I don't miss out on any good Black Friday Wii U deals because thanks to this game November 22 is the absolute longest I will wait to get a Wii U.
