So GAF, can you review my level? I posted it earlier in the thread, but I'd like to know the general opinion of the stage.
it currently has a less than 2% completion rate last time I checked and been played by about 500+ people.
I purposely made it difficult, but it really is easy one you got the timing down.
Here's me clearing it.

Would love feedback because I personally think I can make good stages, but I kinda question it as well. lol
Spent waaaaay too long making my first* level.
"A Night In The City"
Shy Guy's woken up today with a headache. What happened last night at Club Star?...
Code: 7F8F-0000-003F-12F3
Not at all a platforming/normal level. More just a random attempt at telling a story, so it should be super easy.
*I made a basic/short ass level that has a 20% completion rate somehow. :|
There's something that could do that. The large gem blocks in NSMB or the weird large mushroom/tree in SMB. Last one of the second row. You can expand it and shake it to change itIs there any way to impress blocks or make some sort of background? Say, for example, you're in a tree and instead of seeing the sky/standard themed background on what would be the inside/hollow-side of the tree, you see shadowed out blocks. I feel like I've seen people do this, but I could be wrong.
Looks hard as fuck! Have to remember to give that a go tomorrow. One thing that is putting me off is all the Mario U techniques you use in that video. It's not a criticism, just that I haven't played some of the new 2D games so those jumps are like witchcraft to me. I guess I need to learn..
That was trippy as hell, haha! I think Shy Guy ate a few too many mushrooms at Club Star...
How do you unlock all of those awesome effects? Like the Dizzy Shroom and those 3 psychedelic bullet things that shoot past you near the end of the level?
Well done man, that was awesome. Downloaded and starred

I actually was trying to figure that out as I made the stage and realized it's just the sound effect boxes, give them a shake and they all do something visual. I put the effect that dizzies you into the normal mushroom after that.
I liked your course a lot, I didn't finish it but I did put it to try again later. I had a LOT of trouble at the part with the flying spiny because each time I would get there it would spawn him in a new area and sometimes, 2 or 3 at once making it real difficult to get around it, I finally once got passed it and then died on the fire rod lol.
That is one good-looking level. I'll try to give it a go whenever I get the chance.made a fourth level titled 'De Daumier-Smith's Blue Period' (ID: 0630-0000-003F-30E9)
sort of a side project and more an expression of mood than a mario level, that's all i'm gonna say
it's pretty short, let me know what you think about it if you happen to try it out!

Missed Oppurtunity for "MeanHouse"
I'm totally using the name Green Meanhouse in the future
Played it, cleared it. I thought it was fun! Something absurd about those flowers bouncing up and down. Whilst it was harder than you might think to time the jumps over the flowers the level was short and had generous power-ups so I don't know why people aren't beating it. I guess there are a lot of shit players out there!
Haha those are some amateurs! Make that two completions That's the first gaffer level I've played and if they're all that good I'm in for a treat. I died 5 or so times at the beginning but once I had that figured out it was smooth sailing. Nice work man, great difficulty level
Sorry for posting this again, but I think it got understandably overlooked in the torrent of levels recently and I'd be grateful for some feedback:
(it's 631F-0000-0033-8E35 if that's hard to read)
I think this is easily the best of the levels I've made so far - I've shown it to a few friends and they agree. I'm trying to figure out if I should refine it further or if it's fine as is.
WITNESSED!Alright guys, here we go.
This is like the third level I've made with cars in it, don't ask me why it keeps happening. In this case I couldn't not do it.
It feels relatively easy to me, but you know how that goes.

Hey Neogaf. I made a sequel to my most positive level, Mushroom Field.
(Which is here if you missed it)

This one is called Mushroom Mines and it follows suit with being a fun level that wouldn't feel out of place in an official Mario game.
If you have time to spare give them both a try! I can guarantee you'll be able to beat them both, but can you find all the secrets too?

I played it and you can tell a lot of time and effort went into creating every obstacle. The spin jump is super under utilized, so it's fun taken to this extreme. A couple of critiques. The first spike off the first thwomp is super demanding. I never got past it without taking a hit on any of my multiple attempts. Consider adjusting or removing it. Secondly, the part where you drop off onto some donut blocks during the pswitch part. It isn't super apparent that you're supposed to fall there. Consider adding some coins for guidance.Pleeeeeeaaaase someone try it and comment.
I'll play whoever's stages that tries and leaves feedback. I've edited this level like 5 times after uploading lol. Could really use help with nip tuck.
This is probably my most ambitious course so far:
WarioWare, Inc. - 2B43-0000-0038-3F06
My latest level.
Light and Shadow
C82E-0000-0038-7E5F
So I've noticed that most of my levels have like 5% clear rates. I didn't think I was making levels that were really that hard, so I tried making one that was a lot easier, but still kinda fun to run through really fast.
Title: Goombas Take a Dive
Difficulty: Easy
Description: Goombas everywhere are just walking off of cliffs like lemmings. What crazy reason could they have for it? Perhaps they just want to take a dip in the lake.
Secrets: One hidden 1-up and a hidden door.
Code: 0ADB-0000-003E-184B
The moon is crashing in 6 hours, can you save the world from disaster and live to see a new dawn?
A bit of Majora's Mask in NSMBU style. Let me know what you think of it.There are 3 UPS to find in this level.
I'll play some more GAF levels tomorrow.

Anyone remember this jump from SMB1 in level 8-1?
It made me shit my pants when I was a little kid. So now that I can make my own Mario levels, I want to make everyone else shit their pants. I'm extending the long, precise jump concept through the whole level.
These levels are going to be a small challenge, but please try them out! I think the second one is actually easier (it's the one in the screenshot) but my brother almost killed me when I made him finish it.

Ah, I didn't realize the spike was to shrink him back down. I forgot little Mario can't break the blocks in the beginningTHANK YOU!! Means a lot. I'll make the adjustments. Although the spike stays for now. It's just needed to shrink Mario before moving forward as doing the rest of the sequence full size breaks some stuff.
This is the 3rd level I made and my first Castle level.
Bowser's Piranha Plant Tower

Any comments or critique is welcome. Please check it out.

I'm still collecting my thoughts on this level but just thought you should know your code has a typo in it. The 8 and B are switched around.
I've only played the first stage, and it's fun for how short and simple it is. The first single block jump can be overshot quite easily, as shown by all the death markers that have piled up there. Undershooting should be the main killer in these type stages or else it feels like I'm being punished for platforming too well.Anyone remember this jump from SMB1 in level 8-1?
