Are Hori going to produce more Hayabusas for the PS4? I am in the market for an arcade stick but I don't see why I should pay around 50-60 Euro more for a Kai.

If interest rates weren't practically zero then you might have an argument. But in the current environment, you're giving them a few extra bucks in the best case for Hori.
It's 268$ on Amazon.JP right now. But obviously that excludes having it shipped towards the US, possible custom duties (Although I heard those are not as common over there). I think 300$ is a pretty fair price. It's pretty heavy, not cheap to import.
That said, nothing wrong with having some issues coughing up 300$ unexpected within a week. Amazon.JP is allowing payment when they ship the product out, so it is more of an ArcadeShock thing. Which I respect, you can't expect those people to be paying for all of those sticks in advance, out of their own pocket. So it is what it is. That's what I'm guessing it works like anyway.

Not feeling the gray at all.
So many Horis. I'm ok with that grey color over something like a red or blue, but the Kai is still my favorite stick color scheme/art design since the arcade stick resurgence. I could do without the symbol on the left of it, but give me a simple primarily black design anyday. The new VLX looks slick, but for the price it's never one I'd consider. I'm also not a fan of the leftmost buttons being left of the centerline on a stick. That feels awkward to me. I have an Eightarc fusion I'm not a fan of for this reason. I'd never get a VLX for that reason alone.
Never been a fan of the art on the Mad Catz sticks even though I've owned a bunch of them. I do love the shape of the MadCatz Pros though. I think they have the best form factor and comfort of all the MadCatz sticks. Too bad all of mine have SFxT art on them :/

I think the HRAP SE and Round 2 TE = perfect. After those, the Xrd TE2 solely because it's the only all black one. Remove the artwork and you have an insanely clean stick.
I like the extra room for your palms with the TE sticks, and unfortunately that's one thing missing from the new Horis.

Yes, a little more room would actually be good. I liked the round 2 TEs, at least the primarily black one, but really disliked the edges on the top plexi. That was kind of a killer for me. I thought it was bad design. I ended up trading mine in.

To be fair, a few months ago, sticks were scarce. All the TEs were out and this was the first release of the Hori (also scarce). I actually see it as fortunate since a lot of people couldn't get one even if they wanted to.
HAVING SAID THAT... I am pretty jealous of the new design......

Sticks are only scarce if you play on ps4. Xbox one's almost always available.
That's the point, yeah.
It's pretty clear where most people will be playing fighting games this generation.

Also, it looks like Hori is selling the VLX Kuro through amazon.co.jp, so maybe the import will be easier to get a hold of if/when the domestic shipment runs dry.

They don't ship outside Japan so add forwarding service fees and shipping costs in Japan to the price. Also limited to one piece per person so probably can't even do that.

It's not that my budget is tight it's having $300+ tied up for 2 months with an estimated delivery time. If they did somethingoing like a $50 preorder charge I'd be more willing to. I'm going to order anyways but I wish that it wasn't in full is all.

I'm loving all these new Hori products. Their store page was a barren wasteland a few weeks ago. It still is, but at least there is stuff in the pipeline.
The silent Hori stick looks pretty good, but I'm still glad I picked up the Kai. It looks like Hori likes releasing a bunch of different versions of their sticks in rapid succession, but the Kai seems unique enough to stand out and not get a revision so soon. I almost bought the hrapv4 a few months ago, and I know I would have regretted it after seeing all the models they're pumping out.

My 4 Kai still haven't shipped from Amazon. "Arriving Fri, Mar 6 - Mon, Mar 9 by 8pm".
At least you have an estimated delivery date, mine still says nothing.
I've read some negative and some positive. Valle seems to like them well enough. I'm looking forward to trying them for myself.
Regarding silenced parts, I can't claim to be a fan but appreciate their use case. Personally, I want as much feedback as possible.

Are the Hori silent parts available separately?
That really doesn't matter on Amazon orders if they are behind on receiving stock and it hasn't gone into processing. Mine still said arriving on wed by 8pm until that evening when they sent the waiting on stock email out. If you confirmed that order status after their email, it should not have a date.
In my experience, owning both the first-run Fighting Edge and HRAP4, I will say that the Kuros in the FE feel quite a bit better (less mushy and less wiggle) than those in the HRAP4. So you may want to take impressions of the Kuros with a grain of salt if reviewed on an FE.
When the news about the new VLX was released I was minutes away from ordering one. Decided to wait and see if someone knew whether or not the stick would be a Diamond version VLX or not. Since it turns out to be a non-diamond version I am going to pass on it. I have a VLX Premium for PS3 and the black paint around the wrist rest slope has peeled of quite badly. Doesn't impact the performance in any way obviously, but it looks pretty bad and I would rather avoid that if I could.
So instead I am going to patiently wait for a PS4(/3) version of the FE. I hope I don't have to wait too long

why? the 4 is fine and turned out to be a pretty limited product. its like a baby OG vlx. I added two Xrd buttons and the sanwa wooden balltop from arcadeshock and its great.
I believe the spacing is the thing that differentiates the Kai from the others, so I'm assuming yes.

yeah. im gonna stick with the kai. easier to go quiet than it is to add extra space.
they are shipping mine today according to cs. upgrading to overnight.
I wish, I'd pick up a Silent Hayabusa immediately.

Amazon gave me a new date for my Kai. Should be delivered by the 16th (I am in Canada).
